Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What a lovely campsite!!
The facilities are spotless and are cleaned regularly. The double shower cubicles are brilliant when trying to shower yourself and children are the same time. They were never over crowded.
The wash up facilities are lovely…I have never been to a site that provides sponges, washing up liquid and a draining board for you.
The pitches are beautifully maintained and the site itself has the most scenic views. It really is a hidden gem.
My boys absolutely loved the fact that a set of football goals are on site.
The site is a working farm and a lot of time and effort can be seen going into the development of this site.
Its a nice enclosed site, which means that I could sit and have a brew in the morning outside the tent, and my son could go and play on the meadow where I could show him at all times.
The team on site are brilliant and never seem to stop working, which is reflected on how well maintained the site is.
The pitches are of a great size and the hedging really gives you a sense of privacy.
The pitches are also spaced out so you don’t feel crammed in either to the sides or the opposite tent.
This is a great base for venturing out either in car, bike or on foot. It also has a fantastic chip shop just up the road!!
Portreath is about 2 miles away and what a beautiful beach that is…also a brill bakery just up the road from it!!
We wouldn’t hesitate to book again. Thank you for having us 😁

We have been using Hill Crest Views since it opened 3 years ago, its been amazing to watch it grow. Amy has done a great job!
The site is located in a small quiet village just a few minutes drive from Portreath. The village has all the amenities you could need including a Morrisons daily with very friendly staff just 5-10 minutes walk from the site. The site itself is wonderful, its peaceful and has beautiful views, the showers and toilets are brilliant , they were designed with families in mind , with space and ease of use.
We love this site the only two things we would recommend is bring hard ground pegs - screw in ones work best! and watch out for the wind , being an exposed (but beautiful) location it can be tricky at times but its well worth it.
Campers here are so friendly and many come back like us year after year.

This is our third visit to Hillcrest Views, over the last three years its been great to see the site develop. Amy and Dave are so helpful and friendly, nothing is ever too much trouble. They are extremely attentive, making sure the grass is cut, toilets and showers are regularly cleaned. Even advising campers of weather alerts.
The site is lovely and quiet, it has great, well thought out shower and toilet facilities (a place to actually put you things to keep them dry when you are showering and a seat to sit on. Showers big enough for families to shower together). They have added washing up facilities and have plans over the winter to add more showers, toilets, washing up areas.
It has lovely views of the surrounding countryside and is very unspoilt. It's well located for visiting all local places, you can walk to Portreath and the local village of iilogan has a Mccolls, spar and a brilliant fish and chip shop, all just 5-10 minutes walk from the site.
As it is on a hill, it can be breezy here but the new hedging and fencing definitely helps.
It really is a hidden gem and if you are looking for a peaceful, friendly campsite at a reasonable price you won't find better in this area.
The pitches are huge and now have a little run of hedging between. They have done an excellent job of levelling the pitches just make sure you bring rock pegs!
We can't wait to come back next year and see what Amy and Dave have added next!

Just back from a lovely week’s stay. We could not have asked for a better campsite, it’s one of the best we have stayed at so far and we have visited Cornwall for years. The campsite is well kept with perfectly large hedged pitches. Toilets and showers are spacious and always clean. We were made to feel very welcome by both Amy and Roger who were always very friendly and helpful.
We were reluctant to write a review but only because we wanted to keep this place a secret!
We loved it so much that we booked for next year before we had even left.

My partner and I stayed here in the run up to the bank holiday weekend. The site was quiet, only a couple of other people there. The owner (Amy) met us and showed us around. She is a lovely, welcoming host and very committed to making your stay enjoyable. The on-site facilitates are basic but extremely clean and functional. There’s clearly been a lot of effort put into developing the site such as new bushes being planted to separate out the pitches.

There was a small issue with noise late at night on the bank holiday weekend but Amy promptly responded and the issue was resolved.

We very much enjoyed our stay, and will definitely be going back!

Fab campsite. Amy and Andrew work really hard to maintain this lovely site. Toilet facilities were kept spotless, we were allotted a loo/shower due to restrictions with the virus. Amy and Andrew were so helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Washing up area was great, not a large site but plenty of room for the kids to run around and play. I would thoroughly recommend this site. 2 miles to Portreath beach. Local shops good too.

I ove this site site a few reasons. It's has beautiful views, it is spotlessly clean, it's brilliantly set out with generously sized pitches and the owners are very welcoming and extremely helpful. Amy and husband run this site fantastically well and their passion for making sure customer have everything they need shows before you even arrive on site. Another great stay. Thanks guys.

Excellent and super clean showers, toilets and washing up stations. Site is very well maintained, owner and staff extremely helpful, friendly and attentive.

Amy was friendly and very flexible with accommodating our ever changing requests in the many phone calls in the run up to our stay.

Would highly recommend and will definitely stay there again.

Just returned from a 12 night stay at this site. Communications were amazing before our visit with information sent out to read. Numbers allocated for toilet/showers and cleaning items places in all cubicles. The facilities were spotlessly clean. Amy messaged out after a storm to check on all campers and was on site helping out people who needed help providing places to dry items and help in any way she could. Short walk to the local pub which served excellent food and local shop nearby. Great site to visit with excellent beaches not far away. Views amazing across the site.

Friendly and welcoming owners, who were happy to help with any queries. The toilets, showers, and washing up areas were absolutely immaculately clean. Wipes, sprays and gels on every surface. 10 out of 10 for cleanliness in what is essentially a farm site. Beautiful views across the countryside and very peaceful. It's an easy walk to the local village pub, where we enjoyed good pub food, enormous portions! We only had an overnight stay, but would definitely stay again for longer.
