Just enjoyed a very pleasant week-end at the Lansdowne Guest House. From the moment we arrived we were impressed. Lovely clean and well appointed room and although there are tea making facilities, Mark made us a welcome cup of tea. Smart dining room, excellent food and a great deal of thought has obviously gone into the decor and furnishings. Impressive...

We have just returned from a wonderful short break at Lansdowne Guesthouse. I have never before been so impressed as to write a review. Where do I begin? From the ouside the building is impressive with its turret, granite front and neat garden. We were greeted by our wonderful hosts Mark and Marnie, and immediately offered a hot drink, most...

The reason I'd booked to stay here was due to the good reviews on this site, and so I had high expectations, and overall, they were lived up to. Located just 5 minutes walk from the town, yet still in a quiet area, The Lansdowne is a well-kept, clean guesthouse. The room was spacious and nicely presented. Most importantly in...

A family run guesthouse, with very friendly and accommodating hosts. Our room was lovely and comfortably accommodated 2 adults and 2 children, with a double bed and bunk beds, which the kids loved! Very tastefully decorated, comfortable and spotlessly clean, as was the well appointed ensuite bathroom. Nicely presented tea and coffee making facilities and TV in the room were...

I stayed at the Lansdowne Guest House for five days in August 2011. Very comfortable room, clean, coffee/tea facilities and a telly. The bathroom was good with a very good shower. The breakfasts were fabulous accompanied by cereal, juice, coffee/tea. In fact the breakfasts were so generous I had to request smaller portions. Handy to town, and with the library...

Stayed here during our visit to Cornwall in Sept 2011. It was an ideal cenrtal location as we explored all the sites of Cornwall. Large onsuite rooms and cot, ideal for our turbo charged 16month year old. Great breakfasts and a warm accommadating family run business. Room was clean, roomy and unfussy. This is what all B+B's should be based...
