Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had a room with a double bed and a single bed in it. It was in an annexe at the back of the pub and we were delighted that we did not hear anything of the busy road outside or the pub clientele. The facilities in the room were straightforward but a pleasant surprise was the replacement of the complimentary water bottles during our stay. We had the English breakfast, but my wife who is vegetarian was given scrambled eggs when the wrong food was brought to her by mistake. The quantities were more than adequate for most appetites.

Our stay was excellent - the room very clean, quiet, and nicely appointed. Deb and Mark very generous and helpful people and my husband & I enjoyed our stay very much. The pub, also, is lovely. Deb provided a delicious full breakfast, right on time too, as we had to leave early to catch a train. Both Deb and Mark made us feel right at home. Loved our time at the Collins Arms, would stay again.

This is a small place extremely close to the Railway station in Redruth. It is a little out of the way but worth finding for the welcome alone. It's a pub with B&B accommodation, although the bar doesn't open until 5pm. There is no on-road parking or car-park here. I have heard that Deb's breakfasts are wonderful.

A small and friendly pub with some accommodation. I was researching and found it suited my needs very well on a 4 night stay.. Welcoming, warm, v. comfortable room, everywhere clean. Good breakfast; congenial company in the bar: what more could one ask for? At the top end of Redruth with easy access to the station and bus stops very near for frequent travel to Truro, St Ives and Penzance. Good personal touches in the room. Excellent wi-fi etc..Highly recommended!

The room was clean and very pleasant. More home comforts than I expected for the price. Even though the rooms are above the pub it wasn't too noisy. I would recommend to anyone wanted a centrally located stop off. Breakfast was lovely and the hospitality was very friendly.

An unexpected visit to Redruth to deliver a truck had me searching for a cheap place to stay. The price may have been low but the hospitality was excellent. A warm welcome as I came in the door and my host gave me the tour. The room was simple but had everything I needed and was very comfortable. The food was very good in the morning and set me up for the day.

I had a surprise visit to Redruth recently and I needed a place to stay. A quick search on my laterooms app found me The Collins Arms which to my delight was very near Redruth station. I booked a room and my customer gave me a lift in the new Van which I had just delivered. I went in and I was seen to quickly and efficiently by a lovely Essex girl. She showed me my room and explained the rules and when I had freshened up she showed me where the station was. I went in search of food in the town and I went back for a beer. Sam, the Essex girl and I chatted about cars and stuff and the evening soon slipped away. I went up to my room and as soon as my head hit the pillow I was gone. The morning came too soon and I used the shower in the bathroom next door. The bathroom was a decent size and the shower good and the breakfast that followed was fresh and hot with toast and tea. My stay was excellent and I will remember The Collins Arms and Sam for another time if I have the luck to be in Redruth.

We stayed here from Friday to Sunday august bank holiday weekend. We had a lovely welcome from the owners, who interacted well with our three children, telling jokes and winding them up lol The place was clean, tidy and well looked after comfortable beds and a lovely breakfast the next morning with plenty of choice. They catered well for us with a fussy eater and a baby. Would definately stay there again

Stayed at Collins Arms for 2 nights 2 adults and 2 children. The room was outside and fabulous. Clean, fresh and very comfortable with plenty of space. The staff and customers were as friendly as could be and made us feel so welcome even the children were welcomed with open arms. Breakfast was fantastic as much as you could eat both continental and English were on offer every morning. Nothing was too much trouble and Debbie and Mark should be very proud of the way they run things. Thank you so much for the brilliant time.
