Detailed Reviews
We felt that the standards and facilities of the park were outstanding.
The traffic light system on the toilet blocks works really well, and we were really impressed on how clean the toilet and shower blocks were kept all of the time. Also the quality of the food and service from RJ’s was brilliant. Hand sanitising stations were plentiful and always well stocked
This was our third time visiting your park, having stayed in fixed caravans the previous two times, with this being our first time camping. We find that the location is perfect, as being in the middle of the area, all of the major attractions and locations are 30-45 minutes away if that.
It was unfortunate that they are not able to open the pool at the time of our stay due to Covid-19, but understand that this is totally out of the parks control in the current circumstances

The owners and their family/staff were friendly and helpful- nothing too much trouble. We had forgotten our windbreaker and we’re given one that had been left behind. The showers and toilets were very clean, unlike big name holiday places we’ve visited in the past and the separate shower cubicles felt cleaner and safer than again big named holiday park showers that share a drain 😬
My cousin and family came to stay in our tent (their first camping trip) and did not want to leave! The owners much obliged when they booked one extra night.
The views were stunning and sometimes we woke to cows mooing in the distance which was lovely.
The grass was always being cut which helps keep the ground look clean and tidy. Well away from traffic so it was very quiet at night, apart from us enjoying ourselves celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary. The pitches We’re a good size and flat with a slight slant for drainage.
My only annoyance was the irresponsible dog owners, you would think being a very dog friendly site that actually provides a full field to exercise a dog that dog owners would show more respect to the site owners and pick up the mess and keep unruly dogs on a lead. Thankfully most did.

We stayed at Lanyon Holiday Park for 5 days. We had a mix of Sun, Rain and Wind. The Gold Pitches are separated by hedges, this goes some way to protect from the costal winds and offers great privacy.
The site was relaxed and had a good play area for the children. There are multiple facility points across the site, this works well to spread the crowding. Facilities are clean, the showers can be HOT which is great.
Jimmy (Car Reg JME) was always on site walking or driving around, felt like the site was amazingly organised.
Had amazing sunsets. The site is very close to the beach a few miles although when u look on a map it seems further. The central location is great for Penzance/Eden Project.
Highly recommend.

Very nicely laid-out site with neat hedges between each pitch giving plenty of privacy. The staff couldn't have been more friendly or helpful and the whole site gave the impression of being well cared for, with very clean toilets and showers, well trimmed grass and good waste disposal facilities. There's even a nice field set aside especially for dog walking.
The location is close enough to Redruth and Camborne to make shopping simple and also gives easy access to lovely beaches on both the North and South Cornish coasts. We look forward to visiting again soon.

My family and I stayed here for a week at the end of May/beginning of June. And what a fantastic site this is. We were camping with a large 7 man tent. The pitch sizes were great with enough room for the tent car and space to sit out. The pitch we stayed on (Gold) had hedges either side for privacy it had an EHU and the water point was right next to the pitch. The facilities were excellent toilets and showers were spotless. The washing up station was equipped with washing up bowls and dish drainers again all of this was very clean. There was also a microwave, fridges and freezers that could be used (at no additional cost) and rotary lines dotted around the site to use which was another great detail and really handy for drying towels/wetsuits/washing (there is a laundrette £4 per wash). My children loved the play park the trampolines being a big hit! And also the football pitch with the goals. There is a swimming pool which was closed on our visit due to COVID restrictions but fingers crossed the will be open again following the restrictions lifting further. The is also small games room with a few arcade type games. There isn’t a shop but this was not a problem as there is a large Tesco about 5-10 mins away. We have stayed at many campsites over the years and this one is one of the best we have been to! We will definitely be back next year and will recommend to others.

We only had two nights as our main reason for the stay was our 52nd wedding anniversary dinner at the Carnbrea Castle Restaurant just a short 10 min. ride away.
The site is beautifully lade out and looked after, with many pitches between hedges.
We used our own on board shower room owing to Covid 19 , however that did not stop us from inspecting the campsite facilities for a possible future visit. We found the toilet blocks very clean and good card entry system on a board. unfortunately the lovely looking indoor pool was closed, the food people were eating the the garden was as nice as it looked we were told by camper at the table. The owners were very friendly and helpful.

We’ve just returned from a fantastic camping holiday at Lanyon Holiday Park. We had a gold pitch which was really private. The site was really quiet, mainly families with a really nice atmosphere. The toilets / showers were immaculately clean and the showers always hot.
The site is in a perfect location for exploring Cornwall making visits to Fistral beach and St Ives really easy.
The on-site bar is great, after a busy day we got a take away from there a couple of times, the food was great and really good value.
Thank you for a great holiday, we’ll definitely be coming back x

It was our first time staying at this campsite and it was amazing. The location was great, it is just about in the middle so when you travel it is about equal distances. There is a lot of places that are close by which you can walk or cycle to, and the views there are amazing. The whole campsite was kept really clean with many precautions to keep you safe from Covid. We greatly recommend this campsite and the next time we go camping in Cornwall, we will make sure to choose this campsite again.

We had to go down Cornwall to relocate our daughter back to Leicestershire so we decided to camp, we stayed two nights and then a further three nights with our daughter on the same plot. They were helpful and the toilets and showers were very clean and the rules for covid were adhered to by most. The site is ideally located for the surrounding countryside and shores of Cornwall and would recommend the site to anyone who is looking for some peace and quiet whilst visiting the area. Thank you and will definitely come and visit again. Oh also they have washing facilities with a microwave which due to a problem with my cooker I was able to heat up water for drinks. Brilliant idea.

Yes the Lanyon team were happy with that when we were there.
Hi Joanne, no sorry we do not have any fully serviced pitches.
All our 'Gold' pitches are electric and 'Silver' are non-electric. All water and waste are at shared points.
Regards
Jo
