This imposing building has been sympathetically converted to provide accommodation and retains many of the original features of the Chapel. There are large arched granite windows with coloured glass to the front, and glimpses of trusses and keystones are evident throughout the building. With prices starting from £110.00 per night the Chapel offers luxury accommodation in 5 Guest rooms which have been simply yet tastefully decorated. All rooms have new mattresses and sumptuous toppers made up with crisp clean linen. Our rooms all have en-suite shower rooms with toiletries and fresh towels provided. Every room contains a flat screen television, hair dryer and tea and coffee making facilities, which are replenished daily. We provide free parking and free WiFi as standard. The Chapel Guest House offers a comprehensive breakfast menu to suit all tastes, including buffet style, continental, a full cooked breakfast, vegetarian/vegan options and much more. If you have any special dietary requirements such as gluten free, diary free, please let us know and we try our very best to accommodate you. Centrally located in the heart of Cornwall, the Chapel is nestled in a wooded valley in the hamlet of Carthew, just north of the old market town of St Austell. Many attractions are within a few miles such the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan, as well as a wide choice of beaches all within a short hop. There are many local villages all worth a visit, including Mevagissey, Fowey and Charlestown. The Sawles Arms is a small local Pub only 5 minutes walk from the Chapel, where you will given a warm Cornish welcome. We are unable to accept pets. The Chapel is a great base for your Cornwall visit and we look forward to welcoming you into our home

We stayed here as an overnight stop before the Eden Half Marathon. The owners went above board to look after us and even let us have a very extended checkout to shower after the marathon. The breakfast was of top standard with the bacon cooked to perfection. Parking is on site and the rooms are very clean. We’re staying here again for definite.

We stayed here for two nights and could not have been made more welcome. On our arrival we were greeted by Richard and Tracey and Jay the cat - who is 18 years old and loves guests, Richard very kindly carried our cases upstairs. When Tracy heard that we had a family matter to deal with which necessitated an early start, she immediately offered to serve us a continental breakfast ahead of the normal time, as our departure would be before the chef started to cook. My room was well furnished, clean and very comfortable, with a large double bed and a mountain of pillows and cushions. Note to the vertically challenged - unless you are a six footer - don’t expect to be able to see yourself in the bathroom mirror. However since there are at least two others in the bedroom, it’s not a problem. The second morning we were able to enjoy the full Cornish breakfast which included hogs pud (slices of a pudding made from pork sausage meat, bread, suet and oatmeal) a great favourite of mine, plus all the usual eggs bacon etc. Thanks to Tracy and Richard for a very pleasant stay we would certainly return.

Visited for 3 nights and can honestly say we were blown away! Such a stunning building with many original features, bedrooms are gorgeous with lots of extra touches like chocolates on arrival biscuits replaced every day! Hosts are fabulous, warm and friendly, attentive but not intrusive,a hard balance to find but they have it spot on…nothing is too much trouble and the breakfast is on point! Traceys scrambled eggs are to die for and the full English is fresh & so tasty! An absolute gem of a place you would not want to stay anywhere else!! 10/10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Well done Chapel guesthouse & Thank you Jim & Gaye Holman

Fantastic experience staying at the Chapel Guest House. From a warm greeting to a goodbye the next morning, everything about our stay was excellent. I was on a trip down with my mum for a couple of days so we had two rooms booked in. Both were ideal and had everything you need for a comfortable stay. Cleanliness was top drawer as well, everywhere was spotless. The decking area they have added is a great place to have a relax before you head out in the evening with a licensed bar for a drink or two if you would like. This really adds to the stay as its nice to be able to have an area where you can break out and relax rather than just being able to have a chill out in your room. The hosts, Richard and Tracy (hope I spelled that right) were incredible. Lovely, warm and welcoming. They had the perfect balance of being there exactly when you need anything (its great to sit and have a chat with Richard at the bar) and not feeling in any way imposing if you need any space. Also, the full English breakfast is superb. What a way to start the day. All around, an absolutely ideal stay. Thank you so much. I will certainly be back again.

Fantastic stay at the Chapel Guest House. The building is stunning and the chapel has been converted into an amazing b&b. The rooms were immaculate, spacious and more than welcoming. Tracy and Richard were super hosts, very knowledgable of the area and nothing was too much trouble for them. Will definitely visit again.
