A hearty breakfast to set you up for the day . Bedrooms immaculate so comfortable we had a four poster bed . Overall... More

We were two ladies doing a Garden Tour, and The Elms was ideally situated for visits to the Lost Gardens of Heligan and The Eden Project. Our room although a little small for 2 single beds, was very comfortable and clean, and Peter who runs the Guest House on his own, was the perfect host and worked hard to make... More

I made the booking on booking.com, which made this point very clear, so I knew to expect this. Apart from the fairly low ceiling (I... More

Our host Peter was polite, pleasant and cheerful. His knowledge of the surrounding area was brilliant, from places to eat to places to visit. He runs the guest house on his own and nothing is to much trouble for him. Our room and the guest house was clean and tidy, and the food was excellent. A five minute walk into... More

This hotel is in a good location as a base for touring around Cornwall. St Austell itself we thought was a dump where everything shuts down at 5 pm and the town centre becomes completely dead. Peter is an excellent host. We had a lovely room with a very comfortable 4 poster bed and an excellent en-suite shower room. Breakfast,... More

Although on a busy road, the room was quiet. Good location , easy to get to Heligan , Eden etc but within walking distance to town centre. Room and facilities spotlessly clean. Peter very friendly host and helpful with local knowledge.
