I stayed here for 2 nights and found it very convenient for getting to the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan. Also a lesser known garden: Pinetum on the outskirts of St Austell. Unfortunately I didn't really do justice to the well-prepared and generous breakfasts! The room itself was clean and comfortable. The only thing I would say is it was a bit noisy being right next to the main road. Otherwise no complaints at all and I would recommend Mountview.
Nice B&B. Room was clean and tidy. Good cooked breakfast. Kim (owner) made us feel welcomed and was very helpful. Would recommend this B&B if you stay in St Austell. Shops are within walking distance with train and bus station nearby. Local attractions are the Eden Project and Charlestown where Poldark was filmed. The fishing village of Megivissy is also well worth a visit.
Lovely B&B very conveniently located just 10mins walk to town centre, super helpful landlady Kim made me feel welcome! Generous breakfast. Clean and tidy room. The only scary bit for me was the very steep drive - but that's not unusual for Cornwall and it certainly wouldn't put me off staying again.
My stay here was almost perfect. I felt safe, welcome, relaxed. My only issue and it is a small one, but I found the single bed uncomfortable and the pillows too thin. Both of these things are relative to individuals. The pillows were quite thin so I always slept with 2 and the mattress I thought also was a bit thin. But that's it. I had off street car parking, was given space and the breakfast was 10/10.
A lovely little bed and breakfast, ran by a very pleasant helpful owner named Kim. Tom was nice and clean, fair size and comfortable. Breakfast was really nice and nothing was to much for kim, always checking that we were ok and informed us of the local area. A lovely two night stay.
