Arrived really late at night and left in the morning so didn't get time to sample the spa but I'm sure it would have been lovely. Very friendly but professional hotel, well run and nicely laid out. Dinner was OK but to be honest not really up to scratch for a 4 star hotel. Mussels looked great but had no...

I stayed here for business and what a lovely hotel and friendly staff! The hotel is gorgeous in a sublime setting- the rooms were lovely and the bed and pillows was one of the most comfortable I have slept in! The food was superb along with the service! I have to come back for business on a regular basis some...

I have stayed here a few times and quite like the place. The rooms are quiet and comfortable. I find this hotel follows a common trend in hotels do lately, the rooms are over heated so you need to request an extra sheet to sleep under or remove the duvet from the duvet cover otherwise you'll keep waking up because...

Thank you for your comments. I really liked your objective review....the heating is difficult to get right as it is personal choice, particularly in the nine White house (main house) which are the only rooms that still have radiators, the rest (fifty-four rooms with balconies) are hand controlled and effective through the air conditioning unit. We do try to back...

Hotel in general is a standard 4 star in a very good location. We received a nice upgrade as we had to shorten our stay that was prepaid. I can't say that check in was a 5 star experience as a receptionist didn't even lift her head up when we walked in. Did not explain much about the hotel and...

Thank you for your comments. You raise a valid point about the Junior suite bathroom and layout which I will look at, but I am pleased that on the whole you enjoyed the hotel during a very busy period for us which will always throw up challenges but I am delighted that James our new leisure manager has hit the...

Have had three previous stays which have been very good. Our visit this time was still enjoyable but marred by attention to detail lacking, In particular housekeeping. Bin in 2nd bedroom still had litter in it, first bedroom mattress had broken spring, lounge area upstairs tv unit was very dusty and sofas were In need of a change with stains...

Stayed for one night, really nice bedroom although the plug on the bath didn't work (minor to be fair). I didn't use the spa although I did use the gym which was quite small and busy. There is a swimming pool and sauna etc. There is a bar and a la carte menu, they only had a pasta dish as...

Didn't have to travel far for a little bit of Luxury, rooms were beautiful clean and huge ! Driving up the small Road leading to the hotel transported us to the country birds singing with and green green views ! Only negative the spa was fully booked but that speaks volumes about how good it is ! We will defiantly...

The hotel has been extended via cabin type rooms set behind the building in the hill side, rooms were comfortable if slightly dated, I thought it could have been cleaner, the room door was a little grubby as was the toilet door, other than that it was good, we ate in the Elephant restaurant the first night and the meal...

Thank you for your comments. We do have a rolling programme of painting/touching up each day, so I will try and focus on the room you stayed in...you are right about half-term, the spa was at full capacity and has been booked for some time in advance. JLF

Stayed here for one night and what a delightful place to stay we didn't use the spa but the room was brilliant and spacious and the evening meal was to die for I had the mussels for starters and rump stake for main absolutely lovely, then went to the bar after with the log fires best thing was they had...

Stayed in main building as we thought the weather might have been bad but should have stayed in a lodge as there was access to main building from these through a corridor, we enjoyed the spa, pool and gym, cooked breakfast first morning great but the sausage the second morning was awful not to the standard so a bit hit and...
