Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

There are good things. Clean site. Nice sea views. But it is not really set for caravan owners. Lanes are narrow to tow. No onsite shop. Fully serviced pitch was poor. See photos. Water and waste too far away to connect so you had to fill up water and drag waste to disposal point. Shower block spacious but no blinds, hand dryers or paper towels. Felt very exposed as you were visible getting to your clothes and towel albeit through misted glass. No lighting at night and large boulders around the lodge section. We arrived after dusk so this was tricky to manage. Lodge section narrow to tow around corners. First aid signs were not filled in so no idea of where to go in an emergency. Dog walk was nice but bearing in mind the site was totally empty I got told off for letting my dogs walk through an empty field next to the dog walk by a bit of a jobsworth. Obviously would be on a lead if there were any other people around and always have dog bags. See photo.

Wonderfully pleasant place to stay in our MH for the weekend. Although close to the end of season the weather (except for today) has been amazing. Beautiful sunshine and lovely sea breeze. Beautiful location which was immaculate, clean and tidy with predominantly holiday bungalows but with plenty of pitches for campers and caravans. Facilities were fantastic with little individual washroom/toilet units all located in a round building. Washing and drying facilities available also if needed. Beaches are within a reasonable distance for walking to and they are perfect for a little swim even at this time of year. Staff onsite were exceptionally friendly, pleasant and helpful. First time visiting but won't be our last. Lovely place indeed 🤗🤗 PS the boys loved their holiday too

We went for 4 nights camping at Seaview and found everything to be better than we expected, the swimming pool was still open due to the good weather which was a fantastic surprise and we went for a swim every day of our trip- the kids loved it! Staff were friendly and helpful, the tent pitch area was huge, the toilet, shower and washing up facilities were always spotless. It was great to have kettle, toaster, microwave and freezer facilities in the washing up area as well as the ‘share box’ of beach toys, books etc. The kids also loved the play area. Thank you Seaview for a great holiday!

We stayed here in our campervan for 2 nights and found the campsite clean and tidy, with pleasant staff, but the facilities are very basic given the high pitch costs. There certainly aren't sea views from the camping area! You will definitely need a car to explore the local area as there is little within walking distance other than 1 pub, and the coast path hills are fierce round there! We can't comment on the lodges, which did look high end and luxurious. The open air swimming pool is a nice touch, but we would expect more for almost £40 per night simply to park our van (no electric).

Having spent the last week at Seaview I felt the need to mention to others the need to be prepared that the pool is freezing!! Mentioned our concerns this year as well as last & the year before! Such a shame as the lodge site is clearly well maintained with welcoming staff hence our return to here and to SW holidays Juliots Well. We have been told the pool is heated & tested at 27 degrees…blue hands and chest infection tell me otherwise. A very disappointed teenager…didn’t spoil his holiday but was a let down. Looks like the new reception, gym & cafe will be great but can’t help thinking some spend on the pool maintenance would be a wise investment. Unfortunately it is unlikely we will return, having spent over 6k on Platinum lodge rentals in 2 years and not being able to comfortably swim or use the lodge WiFi on this occasion(did report) …now on to pastures new with a heavy heart.

Feel tremendously let down for the price we paid to stay here. Have stayed in sites half the price with a lot better facilities. Pitches difficult to get pegs into to keep tent up strong during the windy weather. Our pitch was right outside the toilet block meaning constant light shining into our tent all night, and noise from others and smell. Woke up one morning to one toilet unit closed due to vandalism. Bins over flowing. The site is like a building site in most areas. No shop, bar, amusements. Minimal play area for kids. Pool cold despite being described as heated with bits floating around in it. Poorly lit dog walking area. Miles away from the beach with no buses or taxis around. You have to drive quite a way to get to anything interesting. No sea view from the touring area. Early check out time of 10am for the price paid too - with a £10 charge per hour if you are late to leave. Would not stay here again.

We stayed at Seaview Gorran Haven for a week in June 2023 with our dog and we had a really lovely time. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. We stayed in a platinum caravan which was very well equipped and very clean. The beds were super comfortable and the showers powerful. We would definitely return in the future.

We really enjoyed our holiday at Seaview Gorran Haven last week. Our Platium Lodge was of excellent quality, with a sea view and everything you could possibly think of. It had a beautiful decked area with very comfortable seating. The site itself is very well maintained. The heated outdoor swimming pool is lovely and will be even better once the surrounding building work is completed. We were told this would be in a couple of weeks when the new reception, cafe and gym is opened in the refurbished Chapel area. Overall this is an excellent site which hopefully will still be available to book for holidays when all the lodges are sold.
