Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Well, what can I say… Boscundle Manor is not only the most beautiful property (inside and out) that you will ever see, but the hospitality shown by Louise and her Team was second to none. We stayed only the one night (wishing it was for longer) and we were made to feel very welcome as soon as we stepped in through the door. The location is also fantastic, as it is a stones throw from The Eden Project and neighbouring towns and villages. We would love to stay again in the near future, and Boscundle Manor will be our only choice of accommodation on the next visit to Cornwall.

We have just had the most wonderful 4 days in Boscundle Manor, a beautifully decorated old Manor House in St Austell. Arriving to lovely scented oils burning the in the entrance hall to home made cookies welcoming us in our room. Both Louise and Jason are the most fantastic hosts, along with their fabulous team. Everything you could want was in the room, kettle, coffee maker, fridge (including real milk, not little pots!), hairdryer with a diffuser, bonus for me, and lovely Molton Brown toiletries. A really large comfy bed with proper feather duvet and pillows led to great nights of sleep. A fabulous little touch was the fact that each morning a bag with freshly made muffins were left at your door, a little bonus before breakfast :) The breakfast was one of the best I've had. Loads of tea or coffee with a full Cornish breakfast, along with granola (own made), yoghurt and compote. Other breakfast were also available. Unfortunately we didn't get the chance to look a the grounds but as we are hoping to return in September, I shall definitely be checking them out as they looked lovely from what I could see. I shall also book a treatment in the spa and a swim in the pool. The final little touch was that Louise sent us off on our journey home with a little bag of fudge made by their own craft bakery 'Manor Made Cornwall', absolutely delicious! Well done and thank you to all at Boscundle Manor. We are looking forward to our return trip.

We came down for a weekend to celebrate our anniversary and visit Eden project and this was a great find. From arriving and receiving a beautiful welcome from the very friendly family owners, to the nooks and crannies of the manor, with great space to relax. We stayed in Joanna room which was quiet and peaceful. Lovely patio area as well as nice touches such as biscuits and fresh milk. We had dinner our first night and it was lovely in a fabulous dining room served attentively by the young lady. The cheese soufle was perfect, and duck pie delicious. A nice selection of drinks on offer too The breakfast were well cooked, good choice and a pretty conservatory. The decoration and art in the property was fascinating and a real talking point. Just wonderful too to have a pool and spa treatments, which we took advantage off on Sunday morning before we departed. Great location too as we were able to walk, just 30 minutes to Eden project

17 of us went for Christmas Day lunch at Boscundle Manor. I can’t say enough about what a wonderful experience it was. From being greeted at the front door to saying goodbye when the festivities were over. The staff were friendly and efficient and the food was delicious. We will be back.

17 of us had Christmas Day lunch here. The service, the food, and the location were all excellent. Staff went above and beyond to ensure our time at The Manor was an experience not to forget. The price for the 5 course meal was great value for money. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a great dining experience

Beautiful manor, beautiful stay. The bed was exceptionally comfy. Kind little touches such as the welcome note & sweet treats. I had a massage booked, this was fantastic. Emma is simply amazing. I left on the grounds that I’d be returning with my mother for an afternoon tea in the near future. As for the aftermath - this was booked as a gift by my mother who did her best to organise the spa treatment & breakfast. On check in I was told that breakfast had not been booked. This was not a problem & no charge had been made, however, my mum had tried to book it but this did not happen. More to my surprise when she queried this she was told it was in fact myself who had said I did not want breakfast. I find it rather bizarre to call a guest a liar & to put the blame on them. This should have been checked, as it was in fact in a string of easily accessible emails. The other error was the swimming pool is closed, but I was not told until the day before check in, and my first spa treatment booking did not go through so we had to book again. After a few phone calls and emails, we got there in the end. All in all, I’m unsure how to feel about this stay, as this has felt slightly tainted by the tone of the final email sent. I never said I didn’t have a wonderful relaxing time, in fact, I went home singing this properties praises.

I booked to have my best friend’s baby shower here and from the get go the service and planning was amazing. The staff couldn’t do enough to make this day very special, and we all had the loveliest day. Nothing was too much and we were flooded with great service. Thank you so much again!

We've just got back from a weekend at Boscundle and cannot praise Jason, and Lousie enough. This is an extremely relaxed but very professionally appointed and run country house hotel where every detail has been thought about. There is nothing I can fault such was the excellent service, rooms, and breakfasts. Little details like muffins left on your door in the morning and a (silent) fridge with a choice of milks made the stay really comfortable. It's located in a stunning area (I recommend Charlestown and Mevagissy) and if we stayed longer, we'd have explored more. If you're looking for a chilled weekend break, I highly recommend Boscundle.

Another lovely stay at this very comfy Manor House. Early October break with friends and the weather was very pleasant. Having stayed here earlier in the year, we knew what to expect and were not disappointed. Louise was an excellent host and welcomed us back as friends. On arrival Megan (special shout out) had patients of a saint over our lost room key! We loved our room (Emily) and mouton brown always a nice touch. A few issues this time with the plumbing but we are assured this is being sorted over the winter period. Highly recommended and will return.

From the moment we arrived at the door, we felt incredibly welcome. The room in which we were seated was just perfect. Cosy with the most gorgeous decor. Where do I start with the food!? Absolutely, without any question, the most delicious afternoon tea I have ever had!! The savouries were such a delightful change to the usual finger sandwiches other establishments tend to serve. The sweet selection was no exception, perfectly sized portions, filled with incredible flavours. All of this was topped off with wonderful service - the loveliest lady served us, she was tentative without being intrusive. Thank you for a wonderful afternoon
