Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Nice place even better staff. Food is much improved from our last stay. Breakfast is spectacularly good. The best nights sleep I have had for the last two years. It rained for the duration of our stay but that didn’t seem to matter!

The hotel and staff always deliver an amazing experience. We see so many of the same staff year after year which shows what kind of management and hotel it is. Caring for staff as much as guests. The hotel offers so much that you really don't need to leave, but of course Cornwall offers so much, its an amazing place to base yourself for relaxing days in the hotel as well as days out.

People using laptops and having meeting calls in the lounge on loudspeaker - not quiet / relaxing at all. Totally ruined. Theyre not guests , not purchasing drinks just using the lounge as a WFH. Its disappointing for paying guests to not be able to relax

Such a lovely hotel with excellent staff right on the SWCP. Lovely swimming pool which was just what we needed following a long walk along the coast. Loved the cocktails. This is our second visit to the hotel and staff didn’t disappoint.

First time at this hotel and even though the weather was miserable it didn't spoil our stay as the hotel and facilities were really wonderful! Very child friendly, swimming for children at anytime in the great sized pool, really gorgeous food across all restaurants, brilliant service, lovely touches in the room of fresh flowers, fruit and chocolates, fabulous entertainment (Lewis the magician was fantastic). Looking forward to booking our next visit already!

Loved every minute spent in this hotel and probably one of the best I have stayed in. Spent a very relaxing few days with family. The cleanliness was 100%, as were the friendly staff, where nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely stay there again. Only criticism being that the hotel was far too hot and the pillows lumpy. Beautiful hotel with lovely decor.

We literally travelled 5 minutes from where we live to get to the Carlyon Bay Hotel. We treated ourselves to a one night package deal with meal and breakfast included. We had a lovely family room which my daughter loved having her own space and a separate tv to watch. We had a lovely afternoon enjoying the hotel facilities such as pool area and gym. In the evening we had an amazing meal in the sea view terrace restaurant. The fixed menu was fantastic and the wine list was excellent Our room was very well presented with a great modern feel. The breakfast in the morning was also fantastic, a huge selection on tasty treats to pick from. We had a lovely stay and would recommend for anyone looking for a great coastal get away.

Thoroughly enjoyed our break. Have not visited Carlyon Bay Hotel for a number of years but everything just as good as before. Much appreciated upgrade to sea-view room. Plenty of interesting places to visit, allowing for the time of year (early February). Could not fault the staff's friendliness and service.

We chose the break after playing golf in the summer. Food excellent for both breakfast and dinner. Spa and sauna superb as always. The service was great as we asked to extend the stay and we’re offered the same deal as for our initial booking.
