We had three lovely days at Edens Rest B & B. Nothing was too much trouble for the hosts and in these crazy COVID times we were safe and well looked after.
Our room was lovely and had all the comforts needed, plus some extra personal touches like a daily chocolate, specialist coffee, hot chocolate and daily biscuits.
Breakfast was a wonderful freshly made spread and our host Ian was chatty and friendly and happy to offer advice and local knowledge to help us get the maximum from our break.
The location is a quiet road in Bugle, very convenient for the Eden Project and handy for most Cornwall attractions.
We would be very happy to stay at Edens Rest again and strongly recommend this B&B

Many thanks for taking the time to leave us such a glowing and detailed review - it’s very much appreciated. It’s always nice to know that when we try and go that extra mile to provide the little things that enhance your stay, it’s noticed and recognised - so thank you again. It was very nice to meet you both and we hope to maybe see you again on any future visit to the area - but remember, as I mentioned, having found us on the big websites, ring us directly to benefit from our cheaper direct booking deals.

Everything about Eden's Rest was excellent. From the check in, where Ian made us a pot of tea and biscuits, to when we left we couldn't have asked for more. We were in the Orchid Room which was lovely - quiet, well furnished, spotlessly clean, massive comfortable bed, en suite (with a great shower!), plenty of variety of teas/coffee etc, two bottles of water every day. Great info sheet provided when we arrived. Wayne even managed to get us booked into a restaurant the first evening (difficult with everyone taking advantage of gov't offer). Breakfasts were outstanding (scrambled egg cooked just how I like it!). Ian provided plates/cutlery etc when we brought a pizza back the second night. Nothing was too much trouble. Absolutely beautiful garden. Attention to detail was amazing - for example, providing a brown towel for ladies to use for removing make up rather than spoiling the white ones!! Definitely will be back. Thanks Ian and Wayne for a lovely relaxing stay.

We stayed at Eden's Rest for 7 nights in the Rose room which had a comfy bed and a separate, PRIVATE bathroom just down the hall. The bathroom was larger than average with a shower cubicle as well as a bath. We also had use of a lounge opposite our room. The garden is lovely and guests can sit in it. Breakfast was served in the conservatory at a spectate time from other guests (Covid safety). Breakfast was beautifully cooked and served by our host Ian who was very helpful and friendly. Eden's rest is very clean and our stay was enjoyable. If we ever return to Cornwall, we wouldnot hesitate to stay there again. Thanks Ian.

This small b and b offering just 2 rooms and a guest lounge was the best b and b we've stayed in. The host Ian is so welcoming, knowledgeable and a great cook to sum it up in a nutshell!
We chose the larger Rose room with a separate (but for your use only) bathroom - a lovely big bathroom too! We only ever have en suite, but so glad we chose this. It is only down the hall and guest robes are provided. We never once 'met' anyone else! So do not let this put you off in any way. Lots of little extras in the room from bottled water to chocolates and biscuits. The whole house is immaculate! Covid taken seriously and felt totally assured about cleanliness. The cleanliness of this house is on a par with the top hotels.
Absolutely any extra you think you might need has been anticipated and provided! we took some wine and port with us and glasses appeared for us to use! We were also offered the use of the dining room (conservatory) to bring our takeaway back to! Just fantastic hosting skills!
The breakfasts were absolutely fabulous. Top quality products and a superb choice. The full english was wonderful but the omelettes were the best we'd had anywhere! The fresh fruits, yogurts, cereals etc were yummy too.
Would be lovely to go there with friends and have the 2 rooms and lounge for your personal use!
The position in Bugle is just outside st austell, just a few minutes away from Eden Project and the harbour town 'Charlestown'- that has lovely restaurants. We were able to easily explore most of cornwall from this base and would highly recommend this b and b to anyone else. Would return in a heartbeat!

Myself and my partner stayed for a few nights and it really opened up our eyes how beautiful this place was as it was booked through our family member so we didn't really didn't know where we was staying so it was abit of a surprise. However from the moment we pulled up on the drive we was welcomed in by the lovely and fantastic Ian. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we was given first class service. We was in the Rose room and the King size bed was a dream, so comfortable and clean such a spacious room to chill back and relax. Our bathroom was amazing as the power shower cleansed us after a very busy day exploring the sites of Cornwall, as well as a gigantic Bath to use also. Breakfast every morning was to die for, from cereals and fruit to a top class English Breakfast which set you up for the day, may i point out that the English breakfast was spot on by the way non greasy just perfect. Overall our stay was perfect, Massive Thank You to Ian and Wayne you really know how to do things to the top level in this business.

Many thanks for taking the time to leave us such a kind and detailed review - it’s very much appreciated. It was lovely to meet you and the rest of the family and having both our rooms meant you as a family had the house and lounge all to yourselves, which was ideal! I’m also pleased by booking direct, you were able to benefit from our reduced direct booking rate compared with booking online. We look forward to again seeing all or some of you, on any future visits to Cornwall

“Eden’s Rest” is such a fitting name for this small but perfect B&B tucked away in its tranquil setting in the peace and quiet of Bugle, near St. Austell and just three miles from The Eden Project. Thanks to the very thorough and detailed information supplied, it was very easy to find.

We were immediately struck by the warm welcome, the safe, relaxed and easy-going atmosphere. Our rooms were absolutely immaculate and the attention to detail throughout was very impressive: our hosts had thought of everything!

We spent two very comfortable nights there. Our breakfasts were enjoyed overlooking the stunning garden which was a joy to look out on.

We are very happy to highly recommend this little gem which we were fortunate enough to find

Ian and Wayne,

Thanks so much for our stay, had a wonderful time and you were superb hosts. The BnB is in a great central location and your tips were much appreciated for where would be best for us to visit.
The room and gardens were beautiful and the guest lounge was a lovely comfortable place to relax. Breakfast was delicious and the omlettes were out of this world, thanks so much for setting up an area to dine for us when we had a takeaway after a long day out. Last but not least your pets are adorable and it was an absolute pleasure meeting them all, they're the friendliest animals in the world is. Would definitely stay again

Thanks,

Dan and Louisa

Many thanks for taking the time to leave us a review and your very kind comments - as always it’s very much appreciated. My omelettes seem to be getting as many mentions as me lately lol! I’m glad we were able to make your stay with us personal and special and that our pets added to this - as always they are only introduced if guests want to say hello. We look forward to maybe seeing you both again on any future visit to Cornwall and once again many thanks for your card and thank you gift.

Lovely place and very friendly host. Ian has been very nice, welcoming and kind.
The room was clean, with a nice non pretentious character. It was small but comfortable, same as the bathroom: small but clean, functional and with a modern shower.
Breakfast is excellent and I loved that every night I could chose the breakfast for the following morning. Ingredients were always fresh and hot breakfast was delicious. The place is in a very quiet spot, but within easy reach of a good selection of pubs, restaurants and main connections. I loved the list for local restaurants and places where to eat with personal comments and contact details that Ian prepared for the guests. Overall a very pleasant stay, totally recommended. Only downside: the curtains are not proper blackout, so would recommend bringing an eye mask if you fancy sleeping a bit longer during summer mornings.

Many thanks for taking the time to leave us a review on here, your review on Expedia and your kind comments - it’s much appreciated. I’m pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us, but I’m very sorry to learn of your concerns about the sun on that side of the house, preventing you from having a lie-in. I only wish you’d mentioned this during your week, as I would have done all I could to try and fix this for you. However, thank you for bringing this to my attention now and I will look into getting a black out blind to back up the existing blinds and curtains. We look forward to welcoming you back on any future visits to the area.

We stayed at the B&B for one week for our summer holiday, and really enjoyed our stay. It is in a good location in easy reach of the main sights we wanted to explore in Cornwall, and in a nice quiet area. There is a pub and takeaways in walking distance too. The B&B is clean and covid safe.
Our host Ian was so welcoming and helpful with a lot of local knowledge and couldn't do enough to assist us. The breakfasts are lovely, as is the garden! We had a great time 🙂
