Tregoad Holiday Park is celebrated for its impeccable cleanliness and charming atmosphere, featuring modern, well-maintained amenities that guests find comfortable and welcoming. Nestled in a stunning location near Looe, the park offers breathtaking views, and the service is consistently lauded for its friendliness and efficiency, with the staff earning high marks for their hospitality.
While the rooms are generally admired for their contemporary comforts, a few travelers have noted minor cleanliness oversights. Detailed Reviews
We had a lovely week in Cornwall despite the dodgy weather for a couple of days! The cottage was perfect for our 2 families totalling 8 people. The teenagers took over the huge upstairs lounge and it was really good for them to have that space.
The bedrooms were plenty big enough, only have windows one side of the building as the swimming pool is the other side. The rooms without windows could have benefited from a little more ventilation as were quite warm and a little stuffy and damp feeling.
The little touches were much appreciated, towels on every bed and dishwasher tablets and washing liquid etc.
The spa was lovely, again appreciated and monopolised by the boys ! It was checked each day very unobtrusively by spa man.
The pool was broken into 40 minute sessions to allow for distancing which was great and well organised.
Shame you can't walk safely to beach from here. Though there is a woodland walk which was nice.
We got great advice and help from the reception team for things to so in local area. The coast walk Looe to Polperro was beautiful. Adrenalin quarry was a great day out and only 15 mins away.
Nice to have the enclosed courtyard for a bbq.
The washing machine drier and dishwasher was a nice to have to being self catering. The kitchen was well equipped too with all you could need, except a chopping board 😆.
We usually go abroad but covid put paid to that this year. We would definately consider another UK stay after this experience.
Thank you Tregoad Park we had a lovely time! And thanks for being so well organised and covid aware, we felt very safe and the staff were unobtrusive however we knew you were there if needed.

This well cared for park has great facilities and the staff have gone out of their way to make sure you feel welcome. Care has been taken to ensure it is COVID safe, with some of the facilities restricted currently. The place is maintained really well and cleaned every day.
The site is in a great location, seated in the rolling hills near Looe. It is dog friendly, and has designated place to exercise them.
We had a perfect break away staying there.
Big thanks to all the staff for looking after us. X

I agree with the other comments here that the site is excellent. The little contact we had with staff was also superb. We stayed in Sherwood 1 which was very good, great location, clean, large living area and extremely well equipped. Hot tub was checked every morning and was very relaxing. Tea, coffee, milk, tea towels, dishwasher tabs etc all provided which was refreshing.
Unfortunately a couple of things led to my score of 4 and not 5. The bedrooms are just too small as are the beds, the double appears to be 4 foot and very uncomfortable so you end up rolling into the middle. I ended up sleeping in the twin bed room but the beds were 2 foot wide and less than 6 feet long and I am 6 foot 2 inches so that was interesting. The other negative is that there is no view from the hot tub only a hedge. Now this does give privacy but I like sitting in a hot tub taking in the vista which you can’t do in Sherwood 1.
Overall we had a great stay and the weather was very kind to us. There are loads of places to visit, Looe, Polperro, Fowey and both National Trust and English Heritage historic houses, castles etc. Lanhydrock House and grounds are superb as is Pendennis Castle and Restormel Castle. Also try Coddy Shack restaurant about 3 mins drive away which is a fish restaurant but excellent. The site shop has the essentials but isn’t cheap.

We have just returned from a week staying in the oakwood lodge. Although very stormy for the week we made the most of the facilities on offer with the pool being a highlight for an eight year old. That being said we did feel the pool area could have been cleaner with slabs around the side weren't the best for a pool area and felt a bit cold in there. The oakwood lodge was fantastic and really well appointed with everything you need for a weeks stay. Please get a proper chopping board rather than a glass one as I almost chopped my fingers off over the week. Would also be good to have a better welcome pack with information about the local area, places to eat and amenities in the lodge etc in one place. Other than those minor things the holiday was great!!

Response from treetops1950, Owner at Tregoad Holiday Park
Responded 22 Feb 2020
Hi and thanks for your review. We can only apologise about the pool but you may have noticed our maintenance team are currently working overnight on a general upgrade programme which is due to be completed by the middle of March. This will include re grouting of the pool surround flooring, new lighting, a new dehumidifier system and replacement seating. Regarding your comments about temperature, I did check the weekly logs and the water temp did not go below 29.7C while the air temperature was stable at 31C. We do not like to go too far above these conditions for general health reasons, but I do take on board your comments. I also take on board your comment regarding the chopping board and I will look into this issue. We are currently working on a new and comprehensive information pack for all lodges and this will be in place by Easter. Thanks again, and we look forward to welcoming you back at Tregoad Park

We booked back in Sept 2019 so we have been hoping all the way through lockdown that we could go. Thankfully we could and my word we are so glad we did!
The COVID plans put in place were first class! Arrival process fully explained on an email prior to arrival.
We headed down on Sat 1st of August. Due to COVID planning the check in time was dropped back to 17:00 which we had no issues with. We got to Looe around 15:00 and popped in to Looe town. We called the site and asked if we could check in early but the lodge wasn’t quite ready, we were told we would be given a call when it was.
Half hour later we got the call and headed over.
Contactless check in as we were provided with the barrier code and the the code for key press on the Lodge.
The Lodge:
We were staying in a Sherwood Lodge.
It was stunning and also felt as if no one had stayed in it previously. It was utterly spotless.
As for being well equipped. Where do I start. Having done lots of these holidays, I tend to take a few bits. Tea towels, sharp knives, tea coffee, etc etc. No need here, absolutely everything was covered. Even spare loo rolls.
We had a range cooker, American style fridge freezer with ice machine.
Washer Dryer (detergent supplied) Dishwasher (detergent supplied)
Flat screen TV, Bluetooth Speakers in the lounge ceiling. Flat screen TV in the main bedroom. En-Suite and walk-in wardrobe in the master.
The Site:
Immaculate, really well kept site. The little shop had basic provisions.
The pool was open but we didn’t use it as we had the hot tub on the decking.
Views from the Del were stunning.
All in all we had a fantastic week here and were very sad to leave!
Thank you to all the staff for making the stay exceptional. A much need break in these COVID times!

If I could award 11 out of ten I would! Absolutely top class place that goes the extra mile to exceed expectations. Wow factor from the minute you arrive, the staff are amazing and are the key to this hidden gem of paradise in Cornwall. They are genuinely friendly and helpful and always look happy to help.
The accommodation just blew us away, it was so refreshing to turn up to a self catering holiday and NOT have to detox from top to toe. I came fully armed with all my cleaning stuff as I am always shocked at the state of the hygiene other places seem to think is acceptable. I could have cried with joy upon seeing the spotless, modern interior which looked brand new with no trace of previous occupants. Although they accept dogs, I could smell nothing on arrival. Modern stylish interiors, squeaky clean - even to my very high standards. I did not have to clean anything! My holiday started as soon as I arrived!
Brilliant wifi hub in our accommodation, password given on check in, and great signal from the Stargazy too. Towels and bed linen included and also little toiletries in the bathroom, they have really thought of everything to make your trip perfect.
A welcome drink voucher on arrival for the Stargazy, and a 10% off voucher breakfast on your checkout day as you need to be out by 9:30am no surprise as it takes time to keep the lodges spotless for the next guest.
The hot tubs are maintained regularly so again hygiene no 1 priority. It was the little extras that made our holiday so special as we travelled as an 80th birthday treat for mum to see Eden Project only half hour away. We had a banner, flowers, card and some biscuits waiting for her as a gift from management, so touched by that thoughtful gesture. Thanks so much!
The Stargazy restaurant is just as fantastic , beautifully designed, absolutely spotless, wonderful menu even for fussy vegan/veggie like myself.
We cannot wait to go back, and also investigate other Waterside company holiday parks, if they are all of this amazing standard, I will never go abroad again.
If I won the lottery I would , without a shadow of a doubt, buy one of these holiday homes on this outstanding site, I could happily spend the rest of my days living there. I am so pleased we found this hidden gem, it restored my faith in self catering, and I will book again with confidence .
There was a park next to the Stargazy, and an indoor soft play for rainy days, and an indoor swimming pool which I did not have time to use.
There are a few inclines, I use a wheelchair and mobility scooter, but it was not so steep it could not cope. So something for everyone, young and old!
Many thanks to all the staff who made our stay so wonderful!

Booked a small family 21st birthday meal for my daughter.
When we arrived the stargazy team had decorated our table with a 21st birthday banner, little balloons and party table dec's along with a welcome birthday drink for the birthday girl.
The meals from starters, mains and desserts were generous in portions and good value for money. We were not disappointed!
The bar area is ideal for all weathers too as there is outdoors as well as sheltered and indoor space.
The whole site has a lovely clean and fresh feel for visitors with a valley scene on arrival looking out to sea.
Thank you for making our evening a relaxing, family experience and will most certainly be returning in the future as non residents are welcome.

Spent a week at Tregoad holiday park, the location is good. You can catch a bus from just outside the park into Looe which only takes 5 mins. Nearest supermarket is about 20mins down some narrow roads. Our lodge was very nice, it was immaculate and had everything you needed and the hot tub was well used despite the nice weather. The rest of the park is well maintained and has obviously had money spent recently and they appear to be expanding the park further. The bar and restaurant area looked brand new, outside sitting area very nice and they have fire pits available. The food was good although limited menu and a good selection of drinks available. Indoor pool was just what you need, book time slot at reception. Brand new kiddies park and a small soft play area inside the function room add to the facilities available. Would highly recommend the park and area, our first time to Cornwall and really impressed, loads of activities and lovely places to visit.

We have had a lovely stay in their new accessible caravan. It has a ramp for easy access, two large double bedrooms, both of which are very spacious with good size super comfy beds. The larger room was ideal for accessing with my sons large powered wheelchair. The wet room was a really good size and perfect for our needs, with a seat for use in the shower and grab rails for the toilet. The kitchen was wide enough to pass through easily with the wheelchair with a lowered access point to the sink and sideboard. The caravan was spotlessly clean and equipped with everything we needed and more.
The whole site was lovely, very clean and fully accessible. The staff were all lovely and really helpful and accommodating. The food in the restaurant was amazing and the kids really enjoyed sitting outside by the fire pits with hot chocolate in the evenings. Thanks for a lovely weekend :)

We normally holiday abroad, however due to covid we decided to give Cornwall a shot this year. We werent disappointed.
Tregoad park was gorgeous. We stayed in the cottages (there’s caravans, a courtyard of cottages and a big house) and we could not fault them. They were immaculate and modern, perfect for our little family of 3 but can easily accommodate more. For the price, we paid £700 ish for a week which is exceptional for the prices for accommodation currently in Cornwall. We could’ve easily paid more for somewhere a lot worse. When we initially found it, there were no pictures of inside the cottage on the waterside holiday website, therefore we were nervous about what they’d be like, but they were beautiful!!
We could not fault anything; the accommodation, the pool, the bar, the staff (so friendly and welcoming), the play park... everything was perfect and so, so clean!!
Looe town was literally a five min drive, which is gorgeous and then Polperro a little further which is stunning. Highly recommend staying here, we would and will definitely return. Thank you so much for an unforgettable stay.
