Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Excellent family friendly campsite. Clean modern facilities which were never busy or overcrowded. There is a family bathroom with a bath and shower for the children and a lovely big play park which was safe and had a range of equipment for all ages. They have also added a wetsuit shower to keep beach items clean and there are two private toilets away from the main facilities for anyone to use. This site really have thought about what touring campers need and catered for every eventuality. There are three washing up stations and a laundrette on site with a huge powerful dryer. Our pitch was large with a tap and electric hook up. The ground is well maintained. We arrived the day after a storm and there was no mud and the grass was perfect to pitch on. The games room and swimming pool are an added bonus to this campsite, we were able to keep the children busy and entertained while relaxing or getting on with the camping ‘jobs’ that need doing. Staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. Our children loved going up to get hot croissants in the morning and having a chat with the owners. Highly recommend this site for a visit to Cornwall. It is well placed to visit a host of beautiful beaches and towns. Polzeath became our favourite beach and it is only a five minute drive from the site. Port Issac is well worth a visit and again, only ten minutes away. Padstow was great for crabbing and easily accessible via a ferry or a short drive. Thank you Gunvenna for an amazing holiday and we are looking forward to next year already!

Great site, very clean and tidy and in a great spot to explore Cornwall. Friendly, family run site with great facilities, recommended. 5 minute drive to several beaches or if you can manage it you can walk to the Rock/Padstow ferry in just over an hour.

Awful from start to finish. Rude camp site owners, not being able to check in at time as pitch was not ready. Rude customer on site, complained as they are returning customers nothing was done. Not child friendly.

We were a family with a ten and twelve year old using a touring caravan. From arrival to departure, the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The site was clean, tidy and the site was well kept. Shower and toilet blocks were very pleasant and well cleaned. There was a little play park at the bottom of the site but as it was the summer holidays, there were plenty of children to play with. An extra bonus was the games room which has books and DVDs to borrow as well as a pool table and air hockey which kept the children occupied on the rainy days and evenings. The swimming pool was a welcome addition to cool down during the mini heat wave! The campsite felt extremely safe too. The location of the campsite meant that we could visit several different attractions and beaches, all within short drives. A short drive into Wadebridge meant that we could keep topping up the bbq food and drink supply. Thank you to all the staff. We are sure you will be seeing us again!

Beautiful family run site. Spotlessly clean, helpful and friendly team who will help you out. Swimming pool was lovely to use during the hot weather with booked sessions never over crowded. Family friendly site , no club on site so perfect for us as there are places near by to go for food and drinks. It does have visiting food suppliers on site during the summer.

Thank you to all at Gunvenna your hard work and efforts really do make all the difference. Immaculately kept clean site, fresh croissants made to order very yummy..various food trucks visited around the weekend on our stay, also a coffee and waffle wagon located on site..fridge and freezers available to use on touring site.. blocks available for bbqs and fire pits and something i dont see often available without asking is, somewhere to put your ash! Nice metal dust bin for it's disposal..every detail thought of..nice safe sand play area, indoor pool and well equipped games room with board games and books to use and information on local attractions in the area..reception also stocks a small selection of snacks and essentials..we found everything to be only a short drive away though. Thank you for a fantastic break all at Gunvenna we will definitely return in the future x

As this site was unavailable last week we had to stay in a nearby site for the 1st week of our holiday. Whilst it was very pleasant I still could not wait to come back to Gunvenna. It feels like I have come home as soon as I open the static caravan doors. We love this holiday park and would recommend it whole heartedly.

I have returned again with my new puppy, Rocco, aptly named after the stunning beach of Rock. I sadly lost my old dog after holidaying here last year but Rocco loves this place as much as Bruno did. The site and caravan is as beautiful, clean and peaceful as I remembered it. Everything about Gunvenna is perfect and run so well by James. I have located the dog walk and also the dog shower which is very useful after a sandy time on the beach, my cocker spaniel loves to dig for pebbles. I am coming back to Gunvenna next year and bringing my son and his family. I 100% recommend this lovely site.

We spent a beautiful sunny week at this site last month and had a fantastic time. The site is clean, well cared for and has all the amenities we needed. It is so well placed for visiting all of what Cornwall has to offer and if you didnt want to go far the beach down at Rock is absolutely beautiful and safe for children. Our kids loved this site, they loved the park and the pool and the safety of being able to scooter around. We will be back next year
