From the moment you drive across the River Amble, you are greeted by the gated entrance to Trewornan Manor. The nicely gravelled driveway, lit either side by spot lights curves to the left and you're then met by the Manor itself. Our first impression was Wow, and this impression was maintained throughout our stay. Paul and his family have made impressive efforts to renovate this 13th Century manor house. It is evident that they have poured time, effort and money into this brilliant b and b. The stone construction of the Manor is impressive and appealing to the eyes. The grounds that surround offer ample space to relax and breathe in the fresh Cornish air. Upon our arrival, we were greeted by Paul. He provided a warm welcome and made us feel relaxed and at home. The guided tour of the Manor acquainted us with the areas available to us as guests. We were truly impressed with all areas of the Manor, living room (with open fire and honesty bar), dining room with chunky wooden tables and grand chandeliers. The snug was perfect for a quiet relax in a room decorated in a way one imagines Sherlock Holmes would decorate his home. We spent our two nights in the adjoining spacious room next to the Manor. Finisterre. It was spacious, clean, warm and comfortable. The emperor size bed was a dream, and provided 2 great nights of sleep.
Breakfast was served by Paul himself, who did a splendid job of serving all the guests. Nothing was too much trouble. The menu was ample and provided a fine selection of breakfast favourites. The chef was very accommodating to mixing and matching various items on the menu. I could speak further about the food at Trewornan Manor, but I think the tasting will give more justice than my words. We certainly recommend Trewornan Manor. Our stay was perfect and we will certainly return. Thanks Paul and team.

We spent three nights here in early October with some friends. They’d stayed here before but we hadn’t. As soon as we turned in through the gates we could see why they’d recommended Trewornan Manor and things only got better and better. The setting is simply beautiful with plenty of car parking and Paul and Lesley run it so well. The attention to detail is excellent. We were made so welcome from the moment we arrived. We had tea, coffee and delicious home made chocolate brownies in the cosy sitting room in front of a impressive log fire. The Manor was immaculately clean and the COVID-19 precautions that were in place made you feel safe.
We stayed in Daymer, which was just lovely. The bed was comfortable with high quality bedding. There was a separate dressing room that led into a large bathroom. The bathroom had a large, free standing bath and a large walk in shower. The bathroom had large, soft towels and loads of extras such as luxury shampoos, soaps and moisturiser. Our room had a fridge with fresh milk to compliment the selection of tea, coffee, jelly babies, crisps and home made flap jacks.
There was a great menu selection at breakfast. The focus is on local, high quality produce cooked very well. Paul took care of dinner reservations, taxi bookings and just made everything seamless.
Having stayed at Trewornan Manor you can see why the reviews are 5 star. They are thoroughly deserved and before we left we booked to go back, is there really any higher accolade than a desire to return before you’ve actually left!

We stayed at here after our wedding got postponed, and uts truly amazing. From the moment we booked to the moment we left nothing was to much trouble.Paul went above and beyond booking restaurants and organising taxis for each night of our stay. The Manor House is in a beautiful location and extremely tranquil, our room was perfect with all amenities you could possibly need. Breakfast was set in a beautiful dining room with a lovely menu nothing was to much trouble. Thanks Paul and your team, we can't wait to return next year and after for many years to come. We found a gem in a beautiful part of the country.

Just returned and would highly recommend this place. Paul greeted us on arrival and showed us around the public spaces. He offered us cake and tea in the beautiful gardens which was the perfect start to a break! Our room was beautifully furnished spotlessly clean, along with complimentary hand sanitiser. The room also has daily goodies of fresh homemade flapjacks. Excellent quality Bramley toiliteries and good Egyptian cotton towels and bedding. Paul will help with restaurant bookings if needed and there are some recommended ones in your room.
The location is great just 5 mins from wadebridge and near enough rock, port issac.
Breakfast was completed by table service. With a good selection of cooked and continental options.
Overall amazing don’t hesitate to book!

This is an outstanding bed and breakfast hotel, a lovely old manor house restored with style and care to provide a supremely comfortable place to stay. Paul Stapleton is the perfect host and, with his brilliant assistant Jess, makes you feel like family guests. The bedrooms are large and airy with the original big windows giving views over the garden; the beds are excellent, very large and comfortable, the linen is top quality cotton, towels are big and fluffy, bathrooms modernised sympathetically to give a well designed and welcoming environment.
Breakfast is first class, a good range of juices, fresh fruit, yoghurt and cereals, a good selection of freshly cooked dishes to follow, excellent coffee.
Above all you feel looked after by people who have a passion for what they do and help to make your visit to this lovely part of Cornwall a memorable one. Restaurants are booked, taxis are sorted - and when you arrive back a tray of tea and delicious cake is immediately produced.
It’s not easy to get a booking but you won’t regret it if you do.

We have just returned from a 2 night stay at the stunning Trewornan Manor
Highly recommend this beautiful B&B in a great location, central for exploring many nearby places
Paul is a fantastic host , we felt most welcome from the moment we checked in. Nothing was too much trouble and every little extra is thought of. Paul will book restaurants, taxis and offer no end of ideas of how to fill your day if required
We had the last available room and one of the smallest but it was ample and so nicely decorated. Lots of extras in the room and all high quality products from the crispy white bedding, softest pillows, thick fluffy white towels to the gorgeous toiletries to the flap Jack & kettle crisps !!
Beautifully clean - Fabulous
The breakfast each morning was 5 star... wish we had stayed long enough to try everything on the menu !! Really delicious home cooking locally sourced.
The lounge with open fire and “honesty” bar was fab for a night cap after everything closing at 10pm
In these difficult times it was so nice to be looked after so well in such gorgeous surroundings ( amazing grounds too)
We definitely hope to return to Trewarnan Manor if we visit Cornwall in the future
Absolutely 5 star 🌟

My husband and I recently stayed in the Daymar room for 4 nights and we were blown away by the level of service we received throughout our stay.
Trewornan Manor is an absolutely beautiful building which is situated in lovely grounds. Our room was simply stunning - a huge room with an enormous bathroom with high quality linens and toiletries. Breakfast is a relaxed affair with a comprehensive menu and food being prepared to order (it was all lovely but I’s particularly recommend the homemade granola)! We had tea and cake served to us in the lounge one afternoon and we made use of the honesty bar at the property!
Trewornan Manor is undoubtedly an amazing property but perhaps the staff there are its greatest strength. Paul, Jess and the team work incredibly hard to give their guests a fantastic stay and nothing is too much trouble for them. Prior to our arrival we discussed with Paul which restaurants we would like to eat at and he made reservations for us and booked taxis for us - we really were delighted with everything about our stay!
Without a doubt we would love to come back to Trewornan Manor - it really is an absolute gem!

When my picky husband says, "let's stay longer," you know you have a winner.
We ended up with two wonderful nights in the Finisterre suite, enjoying the tranquil grounds, delicious breakfasts and tea cakes, and our hosts' thoughtful care.
Paul's mom welcomed us when we were the only guests, and brought us cappuccinos and her delicious lemon drizzle cake. Breakfast was great including huge croissants, large meats, fruit and yogurt, and OK pancakes. Afternoon tea featured lemon cake again plus several other tasty yummies.
The bedroom was very comfortable, with a dressing area and small window to the lawn; the bathroom was spacious with double sinks, a big tub and Swedish shower plus ample counterspace. You could hear a little of the traffic going by. The living room had an odd mix of furnishings that could have been slightly more comfortable. It was hot upon arrival, but cooled down readily without fans. They agreed to do a load of laundry for us, but declined payment!
As others have said, the manor included charming sitting and dining areas, and honor bars, plus books and games.
Trewornan was our tranquil base for delightful Port Isaac, aka Port Wenn of Doc Martin fame, as well as Tintagel castle, Pentire Pt and Bedruthan steps.
The manor is clearly a labor of love for Paul and his team: bravo and thank you.

What a wonderful place Trewornan Manor is. Like some other reviewers we booked in here as part of the Nathan Outlaw package. Not sure what we expected as we have a very jaundiced view of “B&B’s”. This is a stunning manor house which has been carefully and thoughtfully adapted and enhanced to serve as exceptional country house accommodation. Our bed was high quality, very comfortable with an excellent en-suite shower room and a lovely view over the gardens. A lovely guest lounge had a welcoming log fire burning, an honesty bar with a good selection of drinks and nibbles. Squishy sofas made it a great place to escape Storm Dennis. We enjoyed the contemporary artwork which made a pleasing juxtaposition with the historic grandeur of the house. Breakfast is superb with a good selection of fresh fruit, pastries, cereals to start and a good range of cooked breakfast beautifully cooked and presented. The attention to detail is very evident and Paul our host was attentive, friendly, professional but unobtrusive. A great place to stay!

Hi - about £40 return - speak to Paul - he will arrange for you.
Hi, Trewornan Manor isn't able to accept pets, good hotels in the area that do so though are any of the Rick Stein accommodation options in Padstow or Watergate Bay Hotel.
