We stayed here for the night before jumping on the early morning ferry. The motel is a 2min drive from the pier so location was great. The rooms are very clean. The staff was very helpful and the owner even drove to the pier to meet us when he realized our daughter left her teddy bear in the room. Thanks!

I needed a place to stay for one night to catch the ferry the next morning. When I arrived I was greeted by name as I called ahead to make a reservation. The room wasn't quite ready as he does it all himself. He gave me a bottle of cold water as he finished up the room. After checking in... More

I stayed at the Buckhorn Motel on a trip from Drayton Valley Alberta to Windsor Ontario. Smiley the host made me feel most welcome! Even though it was very late when I arrived he greeted me with a cordial welcome. The room was more than adequate with a comfy bed and everything I needed. I felt totally at home and... More

My husband and I stayed for one night on our week bike tour in August. We were greeted by Lorraine as soon as we arrived welcoming us to her motel. We were hungry so thankfully Lorraine quickly made dinner reservations at a fantastic place -Garden's Gate Restaurant, highly recommended, it was delicious! When we returned we were able to get... We just needed a basic motel to spend the night. We were very surprised to find such a clean welcoming place for such a reasonable price. The owners, Laurie and Smiles went above and beyond in making us feel welcome. In addition to a spotless room they have a huge library of DVD's.

All 3 of us were afraid to sleep under the covers. Rooms were old and cramped. No blow driers, tried for assistance in the morning and only response was very loud snoring. My sister and wife put chairs to block the door s due to creepy people hanging around. Wash rooms were disgusting

Very old but very clean. Just needed place to sleep served its purpose. Was located close to what we were seeing and the owners were very pleasant. Enjoyed a camp fire in the evening before bed. . If you need inexpensive, clean place to stay this is good place.

The place is reminiscent of older "Mom & Pop" motels, but we had everything we needed, and it was clean. Location is great; close to South Baymouth, ferry, restaurant down the road. Ishmael was very hospitable & knowledgeable about the area, as well as other travels. Enjoyed our stay!

Clean and slept well. New owners are very helpful and ent out of their way. No AC. If you want a clean place to crash it fits the bill. Maybe 2 kms off the ferry and be sure to grab a bite at the Gardens Gate.

The hotels owners Cathy and Ameal are really nice and very helpful sharing lots of useful island info. We traveled by motorcycle and they provided towels to wipe down the bike. Room was clean. Bed was older but it was quiet and we slept well. Close to the Chi Cheeman ferry stop.
