As soon as we got our of our car Michelle was opening the front door to welcome us! She gave us a tour of the grand old sandstone building, including the downstairs cellar. It is an amazing place to stay in, you feel like you've stepped back in time. Only reason I have given 4 stars is because the bathroom...

Hi Dana Thank you so much for your lovely review you have so aptly described the Inn. One point needing clarification is that the upstairs rooms do have air conditioning, but it is centrally controlled!

MIchelle and Robert are lovely hosts. The building is beautiful and has a lovely olde world charm. The lovely bed was a bit high for my tiny 95yr old mum to climb into but Michelle and Robert went to a lot of trouble to remove the high mattress which was much easier for mum to manage.

Right up our street: an authentic piece of 1830s history. What a welcome relief from bland motels on our trip from Sydney to Armidale. We arrived with our youngest vomiting straight onto the driveway. Michelle and Richard didn't turn a hair. A welcome roaring fire in the parlour. We had two rooms: the Governors a beautiful main bedroom complete with...

The Segenhoe Inn is just a beautiful old historical building. Inside is like you are going back in time, with everything really looking and feeling authentic. They have a main lounge area for guests, multiple fire places throughout the building (that the managers warm up for guests hours before you arrive) making the whole building lovely, warm and cosy. The...

This is a local treasure in the Upper Hunter, finally reopened and revitalised, waiting to be discovered and enjoyed. This fine old sandstone building is a step back in time, rich in history and elegance from times gone by.
