Ballina Manor was wonderful in so many ways. Megan and Tracey were very friendly hosts, they made us feel so comfortable and very welcome. Tracey took us on a tour of the manor and every room was decorated differently. It was very interesting learning about all the history of the place. The food at the restaurant was excellent and we... If you want to stay somewhere that is a little different this is for you. An historic manor - beautifully restored and lots of character! Rooms are a good size with a nice balcony and a sitting area in the room. If you like "old style" with modern conveniences this is for you. Wide choice of rooms including two with... More

All rooms are designed in a special individual way, decorated with antique items. I enjoyed Heritage room with a beautifil bath. Prices are comfortable as well. You can select something between $140 and $300.

What a wonderful experience and a very welcome break on our trip from Sydney to Brisbane. We only stayed one night but would have loved to stay longer. The staff were very informative and gave us a guided tour and history of the old building. .Each room is decorated differently using genuine period pieces. We had a ground floor room,... More

We booked a spa room, immaculately restored, original antiques throughout including 4 post bed. The entire hotel masterfully restored, a beautiful step back in time. For a very small Restraunt the food and service was detailed and personal. I enjoyed a great steak, accompaniments and presentation perfect. The desert menu likewise fine dining.

Stayed here for one night. Welcome at check in was friendly and I was shown upstairs to my room. The hotel used to be an old boarding house for a local girls school when it was built in the 1920s. The building itself is quite attractive and well kept and the rooms are spacious with balcony access. The heating is... More

Stayed here two nights to attend a function in Byron Bay. What a wonderful surprise. The building was once a girls boarding school, which has been lovingly renovated with painstaking detail. Our room was upstairs which wasn't a bother. The room was large enough with a generous bathroom/shower/toilet and featured a lovely balcony. The bed was very comfortable. The hotel... More

Great room. Great service. Great staff. Great location. Great food in the restaurant. We stayed for three nights and had a wonderful time. And having the verandah for relaxing on was a lovely bonus, as was the tour of the building - very interesting history.. We'll be back. Congratulations to everyone there.

From 1988-1996 we owned a 130 year old ex-coach house Victorian property in South East London so The Manor was "home from Home" for us. We felt so relaxed from the moment we stepped through the door. It is an old property (1925) so a lift is out of the question but staff are more than happy to assist with... More
