We had planned lunch but then simply had coffee, four of us. We found the service admirable, had good coffee before having an excellent wander around the grounds. The whole place is well kept, serene and inviting. I need go back for a longer visit.

You drive up the road a few kilometres from Bowral and into the parklands and bush that are Milton Park. You have to be impressed by its heritage as you follow the driveway to reception and stop under the portico. There are steep steps up to the front door and, if you arrive at the accepted time, there is a...

Went there with Mrs B Traveller Sydney for our wedding anniversary. The staff were very attentive to our needs and excellent with required information. Had a wonderful high tea on the terrace, good breakfasts with plenty of variety and a fine dining experience in the charming restaurant that overlooks the gardens. Its not a cheap stay but felt the quality...

A short stay here - the grounds are beautiful with a lot of manicured gardens to walk around and sit in. Room was very comfortable and true to the whole country house style. Our restaurant meal in the main restaurant on night one left a lot to be desired. We ordered a bottle of wine that didn't seem to be...

We attended a wedding in December 2016 at Milton Park. The gardens were immaculate and I felt as though I was walking back in time with Mrs Hodern when she designed the gardens. With beautiful heritage listed trees it made for a very romance setting for a garden wedding. The venue for the reception was The Orangerie which was a...

The hotel has high energy due to the history and the magnificent garden. We enjoyed 6 nights in a standard room doing our annual summary and planning. There's very good view from the room. We liked to sit in the arm chairs looking outside from the room with a cup of tea. We also liked to wak in the garden...

These grounds are beautiful, they made me feel as though I was in a Jane Austen novel. The hotel is a little dated and would be spectacular after a renovation. The grounds are definitely worth the visit.

We booked and paid for a Forest Suite a couple of weeks prior to our stay. They contacted me shortly before our arrival to say that they'd double booked and we could no longer have that room style. Having no time to organise alternative accommodation, we were assured that they would place us in a room equal to or higher...

The old Hordern residence converted many years ago into accomodation, spa ,pool and many small rooms for coffee and sandwhiches. There was a tasteful funeral spread out under the huge tree at front of hotel,we walked the gardens after a coffee and great lamb sandwhiches, looking through water features and the oldest and largest Tulip tree in Australia. The rose gardens...
