We visited with friends at the end of the busy Dungog Festival and were very pleased with the friendly efficiency of the staff and the quality of the food. There were many tasty sounding dishes on the menu. Each of our party of 4 enjoyed their meal and the meals were reasonably priced. This historic pub has over 100 years... More

Old fashion service that I'd detour for anytime. Endup stopping here on way to Monkeria to go to the toilet & decided on a quick drink and found it to be an old but fun relaxing atmosphere and it was very clean and staff were extremely friendly. I would stop here again and if your in the area you should... More

A group of us stopped here for lunch on a ride through the area. We pre booked, which is a good idea as the atmosphere is friendly, food is a good price a is very tasty. They were able to cater for 30 of us. It is a great spot to stop for a break while exploring the area. We... More

Due to the Settlers Arms not cooking full dinners on a Monday they recommended the Bank Hotel Bistro. Friendly staff, reasonable prices and a good old Chicken Schnitzel did it for me. Service was quick and we found the Bistro busier on departure than arrival. A good feed for the money !

Do you remember that old road-safety ad on TV - the one where two guys are travelling down a country road, lose attention for a moment and nearly crash? The passenger says ‘Geez man, not a good place to crash!’ and the driver replies ‘IS there a good place to crash?’ The punchline? ‘Yeah - in bed!’ Or maybe, in... More

On Sunday 18 January about midday there was a 5-10 minute wait every time anyone wanted to get bar service due to only one person being employed at the bar and then being called away to answer the phone and do other duties.

Stayed here in October and was impressed. From the time I booked ahead on the day I arrived to the time I collected my bike, it was a pleasure to stay the night. They locked up my bike in the bottle shop, the room had a TV, air con, super clean, and the smoked roast pork I had in the... More
