My boyfriend and I chose to go to Jim Thorpe for our anniversary and wanted to stay in a bed and breakfast for the first time. I am so happy that we chose DeFeo's Manor. I felt incredibly welcomed by Ellen from when I first spoke to her on the phone to make the reservation. As soon as we pulled... More

The Manor would be remarkable even disregarding your hosts were not. Ellen is most engaging host I've ever met. Ask Richard about his basketball days with Bill Bradley. The home is old and genuine. The bed and AC was comfortable with a view across the street from Mauch Chunk Opera House, a must-attend venue. The breakfast pastries and coffee outdoor... More

The owner and her son are great people down to earth and made our experience welcoming. We felt at home. I shopped around before I settled and I made the perfect choice!! Clean, treats in the room, free wifi. Restocked every morning. Loved the attention to detail.

We had a charming time at this B&B. Ellen is a delightful person and gracious host. We were in the Arizona room. It, like the others, was painted to reflect its theme. This room was on the small side, but the others were larger. What's unique about the breakfasts is that you have them in the privacy of your room.... More

Never had to move our car. Located in the center of town and no parking problems. Walked everywhere, even though it was cold. Loved the town!! We will be back. Loved all the shops, cafes. Not everything was open, but it was still great!
