My partner and I recently stayed for 6 nights at the amazing Uepi Island Resort. We heard about the resort through our landlord, whom visited the island 20 years ago! It was adventure getting to Uepi, as there was torrential rain (as we travelled in the wet season), and our flight was delayed 2.5 hours from Honiara to Seghe. Once...

They do an exceptional job with food and keeping track of dietary needs or preferences A few things that were not apparent when we booked 1) meals are pretty strictly scheduled and all guests eat at one table. That was nice, but unexpected 2) when coming from Brisbane, you can check 30 kg there, even thought the web site for...

My husband and I had a fantastic, relaxing week at Uepi. We normally go to Fiji but decided this year to try a different spot and picked the Solomons after hearing that it had great snorkelling. We spent one night in Honiara at the King Solomon Hotel, which was basic but clean. Taxi from the airport was SBD$100 (SBD$10 per...

Great experience and fantastic service. The owner, Katie made special breads, muffins and various dishes gluten and dairy free. The food is so fresh and tasted totally home-made. The staff is very friendly and ready to help. The snorkelling is incredible. The bungalows are laid out perfectly around the lagoon. Paddling out in the lagoon and floating on a board...

In a place like The Solomons, it's important to have people who are "on it". Jason, one of the owners, has everyone's number: the pilots, the airport, the transfer boats, the dive boats and is well-informed of wind and weather. We felt very well cared-for, almost pampered. The food is phenomenal. It is mostly sourced locally. Fruit and seafood are...

To get here is no mean trek...but totally worth the trip. The moment you meet the Solomon island people you will be in love and realise this is how we should be in our busy lives. Relaxed, friendly and nothing is a problem. We travelled with our usual dive group of 13, One non diver experienced her first snorkel EVER....

This is a must do for anyone visiting the Solomon Islands. From the moment you get off the boat and step onto the main jetty you are treated with crystal clear water with soft corals that are extremely inviting. If you are a scuba diver than block out a week from the world and immerse yourself in the amazing waters...

We received numerous recommendations for this resort and it exceeded all that we had imagined!! We were held up in Honiara due to the weather so cancellation cover on your travel insurance is a must, just in case. We reached the island in pouring rain and Jase & Katie were there to greet us with dry towels and a hot...

Uepi was strongly recommended to us by friends who had been there twice, and whose opinions we value. As it turned out, before we left Uepi we met people on their tenth visit, others on their third or sixth visits. Is any more recommendation needed? We are 71 and 75 years old, and not divers. Our previous experience of snorkelling...

Lovely place with lovely staff. The main reason to go is the snorkelling and diving so it is not a luxury hotel but a well run place with amazing experiences to be had. Hot showers and better Wi-Fi would be a welcome addition but overall it is a great place.
