We stopped in Milford during a day trip to the area and stopped at the Hotel Fouchere for breakfast on the patio. Food and service were great. I had a fantastic egg white omelet wi kale and feta. My husband had yoghurt and fruit plate...More
Extremely attentive staff, nice rooms, excellent food. We really enjoyed our stay for 2 nights over Labor Day weekend. The manager was very helpful in suggesting things to do and providing information. All the food is amazing and almost all local. Definitely a perfect place...More
Myself, my friend and her dog stayed at the Fauchere for a nice long weekend. The place was great and the staff was soooo friendly. They had dog biscuits and bowls waiting in the room for the dog, who was just beside himself with the...More
Excellent service. Everything from a nice glass of wine while checking in to the server bringing me a blanket because I was cold on the porch and he wasn't able to turn off the fan. The room was tiny. That's a downside and we were...More
The Hotel Fauchere is housed in a beautiful building with a rich history. I stayed with my wife, son, and her parents for three nights earlier this month. We stayed during the week and were not told in advance that the fine dining Delmonico Room...More

Grey Towers - right in Milford - is pretty spectacular. A must visit/see. Peters Valley Craft Center is about 10 miles from Milford and that's wonderful. We have numerous waterfalls - some are truly deeply breathtaking. We have a grand "main" street - BROAD STREET - with shops, and galleries and wonderful artists. The Hotel Fauchere is filled with beauty. Bar Louis is one of my personal favorites, and Bob, the bartender, is a treat and a joy. Badea & Soul (right next to the hotel) offers fabulous massages and facials if you're into that kid of pampering. A wonderful restaurant, THE FORK, is in Shohola, which is about 10/15 minutes outside of milford. We also have The Waterwheel restaurant & bar which has great music on thursday nights. The Columns is our historical museum, and that's right across from the Hotel. If you're looking for a bit of a drive - maybe a half hour or so - visit Hawley, and go to the Silk mill, which is now converted into a cool hotel - Ledges - and great shops. Whew, hope this gives you a good idea. Milford is fabulous.
