Some restaurants are a pleasure to return to again and again. The Inn of Phillips Mill is one of them. Meeting here for a family birthday celebration, with a table on the terrace, we were immediately soothed by the candlelit interior and the charming ambiance of the country French decor. Everyone enjoyed the well prepared food; the appetizers--escargot, pumpkin squash soup,... More

The building is charming! They have an amazing chef! Unfortunately their grey haired servers don't think they need to do their part to make the dining experience worthy of the food. Such a shame. Our server was slow, from start to finish. Dinner took in excess of three hours, and we had to ask for our check or we might... More

We stayed here twice and dined here once. Our first visit was a stay in the main house which is an 18th century stone barn. It's a very old property that is quaint, charming, and romantic. It lacks the amenities like toiletries, hair dryer, iron, TV, telephone, WiFi, etc. However, considering the cost of a stay, the value is outstanding.... More

We were a little late and they held our table for us. It has been years since we ate there and we had forgotten that they don't sell wine or accept credit cards. Fortunately the owner gave us (no charge) a bottle of Pinot noir from her personal stash. Great menu. The appetizers were great. My wife had pate; good... More

It is a quaint inn with a definite theme of colonial days, right down to the pewter pitchers. We arrived earlier than expected and they seated us immediately outside in the walled garden. The bugs were a bit annoying but it was summer near the canal. We brought some wine with us and they opened it and put it is... More

Can I say that I adore this place and its setting? It's just 1 1/2 miles out of town, but it's a world away from the busy-ness of the town of New Hope. It was such a treat to go into New Hope & be able to retreat to the tranquility of the Inn at Phillips Mill. If you like... More

My wife and I were in the area to attend a show at Havana in New Hope and we needed a place to stay. Prior to the trip, we could not find a B&B that would book us a room for a single night because the only night we were interested in was Saturday. Everything was a two night minimum... More

We hadn't been to the Inn for dinner in a good number of years, but recently made some last minute reservations for a dinner for two. They seated us in a perfect corner table on an enclosed porch. The menu was fantastic. Numerous choices for appetizers, many more special appetizers, also. The same was true for entrees. The service was... More

Small atmospheric old inn, lots of separate dining areas, decorated with great charm. Food is fine, American style, not fancy, but good value. This is a place for being warm and romantic, with very friendly service, not for fancy cuisine.

Stayed here over one weekend and loved it! It was a very relaxing stay, beautiful place, great service and everyone was very friendly. I live in NYC and was looking to have a weekend away from city craziness and this place helped achieve just that. Be warned, if you want wifi and cable this place is not for you. If... More
