Great place to stay especially if you have a Penn State student. Will stay here every time I need to visit Penn State. Food was excellent and room very nice. Close walk to the creamery. Would recommend to everyone.

Nice facilities but service is inconsistent. Service at check in heavily impacted my experience. Would not stay here during peak season as this hotel would not be worth the price. I would go back to the restaurant for the Lobster Bisque. Best I ever had.

Front desk was extremely professional and welcoming! It was freezing and the doorman had the door ready for us as we were running to the front entrance. The entire staff was friendly and courteous. Great stay!

Although the location can't be beat, I never have a good night's sleep here. If doing anything at PSU campus I recommend The Penn Stater. It's off campus closer to the football fields but the quality of sleep/rooms is much better!

Great hotel, first time there. Iliked that they have free valet and that upon checkin they provided a printout of local restaurants with short descriptions. Very helpful. Only negative was that the lounge area could use some sprucing up and some attention to details. For example, Big 10 pennants hanging on walls were loaded with dust and several holes in...

Clean, beautiful, comfortable, classy, and again, clean! Though this was a trip for a work conference, I was so overwhelmed by the comfort and the cleanliness of the whole establishment. I cannot wait to return to experience the luxury again!

On the road over 160 nights per year for our work, our usual options are the chains which serve us well; belong to all the loyalty clubs and have to choose hotels near our work sites. Deciding to treat ourselves over the holiday and visit family, we chose the Nittany Lion and had a superb one night stay. Everything was...

The hotel is a nice place with plenty of character. It's is nice to walk around the campus and over to the Shrine without having traffic issues. The look and feel reminds me of The Greenbrier stay, going back to our country's historic inns. It is not an a modern Four Season's type accommodation. My room had wonderful large windows...

Spent over $2000 here in one night on 5 rooms and dinner. Asked why there was a discrepancy in the various room rates and was told by front desk manager Jessica that she can't tell me what the rates are. I asked if, since the difference between the high cost and low cost room was $150 per night that maybe...

Have stayed here several times before. Stayed this time for Fall Graduation. Classic American Historic Hotel, but right on the Penn State Campus. Within walking distance to everything and Shuttle service is also available. This hotel often has students in Hospitality majors working here for experience, so bear with them as they prepare for their careers. Hotel is always clean...
