My husband, 2 dogs and I stay here every year the week between Christmas and New Years. It's a beautiful area close enough to Myrtle Beach for dining and fun but far enough not to be in the middle of it all. The spaces are nicely graded, shaded and well kept. Looking forward to December 27th this year!

We just camped there last week (Sept 16th to the 19th) with my son and daughter and husband. We tent camped, and sites together #172 and # 174). The sites themselves were in pretty good shape considering a hurricane did it's work, followed by a tropical storm. The evidence of the two storms was there, but did not hinder our...

I have stayed at Hunting Island over 6 times as it is my campground of choice by far. We are usually lucky and get sites in the front loops but it is only because we hold out and I look pretty regularly at availability. I believe they are closing down the back section during the winter to do some maintenance....

This campground is South Carolina's little slice of paradise and a hidden gem. Located directly on the beach of this little barrier island that is home exclusively to the state park. If it weren't for the lack of aqua colored water you would think you were somewhere in the Caribbean with the palm trees lining the beach. Most of the...

Far out... where to start. Hard to rate this place accurately. Hunting island beach is great. Beautiful, 5 stars. You can walk or ride your bike on the hard packed sand and its great to ride. The campsites along the beach are also great. Breezy, great views and of course a price to match. Unfortunately, the further back from the...

I think Hunting Island Park is absolutely beautiful the beaches is just AMAZING. The tent site we had was T210 back by the marsh. It is a HUGE tent site, easily fitting 2-3 tents, very private but it is mosquito alley!! They said it was because a storm came on Friday and brings them in, but I literally have over...

A wonderful weekend with family, friends, and pets. The site we were on was tight, but just fine. The park, bathrooms, and beach were clean, and the staff was friendly. Very family oriented.. come dark, everything was quiet. Love how pet friendly they were. Mosquitos are and should be expected, just part of life.. we will go back.

An end of the road kind of place. We've been coming here for years. We try to alternate our SC camping trips between here & Huntington Beach SP, our other favorite beach camping place. The beach is wide with sand hard enough to ride a bike on at low tide. The ocean is nice, the campground has some sites on...

The driftwood beach (parking lot d) was so cool! I've never seen anything like it! The historic lighthouse was awesome too snd you can't...

We stayed (Aug. 14-17) at camp site #54 & #73 both were excellent locations. Site #54 is probably the closed site in the park to the beach. Just walk straight out the site and within 100-150 yards you are in the water. Site #73 was just a little farther from the beach. Water and electric was provided at the sites...
