The Restoration has a great location with easy walking to many areas. The staff was average--I did not feel very welcomed or valued during our stay. The Watch restaurant had food that was average and service was slow. The two bedroom units are in dire need of restoring! The bathrooms all have grime and mildew in the showers and we had to move from the grande two bedroom to the regular two bedroom due to the musty smell. The second bedroom was small with no chair or bench or dresser--just a bed and two nightstands. There were only 5 hangers in the closet for our clothes. The lighting was very poor throughout the unit. Each unit had minimal kitchen amenities -- only 4 wine glasses/plates for a 1300 sf unit so would have to have our friends bring their glasses if they came to have a glass of wine in our unit. One couple had no hot water in their shower the entire stay even after asking for a repair. I was very disappointed in The Restoration for the high price that we paid and for the amazing reviews I had seen prior to our visit.

We have stayed here twice this year. The first as a couples get away Labor Day weekend and again this past weekend to check out the College of Charleston with our two sons. The hotel is beautifully appointed and has many unexpected extras but what makes this hotel stand out most is it’s staff, namely Heather. She is amazing and will make sure your every need is met.

Thanks Heather and we will see you again soon for my 50th!

We stayed one night as a getaway from Day to day life and kids so we could relax and see more of downtown Charleston unrushed. We enjoyed our room and stay. The room was very nice, bed was comfortable and the shower was huge 😉. For breakfast they deliver a picnic basket to your door with fruit, muffins, coffee and juice. They have filtered water in glass bottles in fridge. They are very accommodating with helping you find things to do and places to eat. They drive you places too as needed. They have classic vehicles you can rent hourly or daily. There is a spa and coffee bar on site and rooftop restaurant with a great view! Staff is very nice and helpful. We would definitely go back!

Great place to stay when visiting Charleston. The service at this hotel is top notch. When we arrived in the rain they provided us towels, breakfast at your door, wine and cheese at 5, cookies at night. We didn’t try the restaurant but the bar was very nice. Use of bicycles to explore the town. The rooftop spa was a nice afternoon break. So thank you Heather, Devin, Chad and Darren for a wonderful stay. See you next year.

Big rooms, nice surroundings and management are trying to create a very nice environment.

Rooms are now a little tired and smelly. Mold growing in showers,

Biggest problem is the maid service. They do a terrible job.

Room 534 had a 1/2 bath and a huge master bath, full kitchen, sitting area, and nice bedroom. Loved it. I have Crohn’s disease and it was very accommodating.
