We stayed at Lakewood in a motorhome in January 2017. Our first location was just about 50 yards from the ocean, It was a bit windy and cold at that time, so our next site was about 100 yards further inland. Sites are pretty level with full hook-up. This is an ocean front resort with lots of activities, however many...

Love camping here. Nice water park, mini golf, bike rentals, paddle boats and beach access. They have tent sites, camper sites and villas for rent. They also have golf carts for rent and a convenience store inside the park. It's a great place to bring the kids.

I rented a villa 6132 which needs updates. I decided I wanted to stay an extra night, I was quoted over the phone $89 a night. When LCR staff brought my receipt I laid the receipt down without looking while they were there. When she left I looked and it said $155.00. I called and Keith said she miss quoted...

Lakewood is a pretty nice place to camp right on the beach. Love all of the amenities that are included. Kids had a blast at the included waterpark with lazy river. Next time we plan on using the paddle boats and doing some fishing as well.

Stayed here in our travel trailer on our weekend in Myrtle Beach. Had a oceanfront site which faced the dunes. Very nice site to get our 26 footer in. Loved the campground and facilities. Most of their employees were friendly and great, but we had two less than positive encounters. The night we checked in the woman at the desk...

I think the sites are larger than other campgrounds in MB. The location is perfection. right across the street from Walmart. Down one block from Hwy 544. We have not tried any of the food or coffee shop. The worship service is contemporary, but not Pentecostal. We are going back soon! Golf carts abound, so don't even think of parking...

Management response:

Thank you for choosing Lakewood Camping Resort and for taking time to write your review. The golf cart traffic can get a little heavy at times. That is one of the reasons that we do not allow guest to bring their personal carts. We are glad you enjoyed your stay with us. It will be our pleasure to serve you...

We camped 2 sites away from oceanfront and thoroughly enjoyed it! The amenities are many and convenient! Waterslides, onsite restaurants and the Saturday night beach party kept them busy all the time. Would definitely go back with the kids in the summer, and perhaps without the kids in the fall.

Right on the ocean. Waterpark for young children plus great lazy river and great water slides for adults and bigger kids. Mini Golf, paddle boats, kyaks, bikes and more at no extra charge. Plenty of very clean and comfortable bath houses. Several restaurants and ice cream shops. Lovely coffee house with pastries and home made fudge. Indoor pool and hot...

We had such a great time. The site was a great size. Wish it had a tree or two. But we were close to the beach so that was good. The slides and lazy river were fun. Renting a golf cart was great too. The only bad thing was the internet was deathly slow. I know, I know it's a...
