I would recommend Al's Oasis for all meals. Lot's of local things to do within walking distance, nice park right down the road. The pheasant hunting was wonderful. Very nice people wherever we were visiting.

It's pheasant hunting season so we felt we were lucky to get a room at the last minute. We had a couple of choices so we picked a king bed room on the lower floor. There are two stories in one section and only one floor in an other. It's an older motel still using the actual keys for the... More

We asked for a discount since we were arriving late at night, and the motel a few blocks away was $20 cheaper. She offered $5 off, and then wanted to give us a room in the middle section where the construction workers stay. When I asked to be in the other section, she snapped, "Then its $10 more". This was... Our stay here left us with a very good memory, so good that we considered returning the same way so we could stay here again. Let's state upfront and very strongly that the Bridgeview Inn was far from perfect in a great many ways but it was still our favorite stay on our trip. First, I love staying near water... More

Rooms are older but are being updated. The hotel is a family owned hotel and the owners are very friendly. It was a great view of the river and muffins and coffee are provided for breakfast if you want it. Great place to relax and feels very much like home. Will definitely stay again next year when I am in... More

We stayed here at the end of August on our way to start our vacation to South Dakota. Wow. Blown away, the beauty of it all. Your view of the Bridge is spot on! Great sunset! Clean. Gazebo so nice! Good time, thanks for the rest. Bernice & Jon from Indiana. I also wrote on your facebook page.

We stayed in Chamberlain to break up our drive to the Badlands and Deadwood. We got the last two rooms in town and they happened to be at this hotel. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Rooms were very basic but clean. Walked 2 blocks to downtown and had a great time at a bar. Easy walk back to our... More

The hotel is older but they are remodeling. I stayed on the older side. Definitely old but very VERY clean. My friends stayed on the newer updated side. Great updates! Very nice large gazebo to hang out and enjoy the view of the river and the bridge that lights up at night. The staff was VERY friendly. Highly recommend!

Basic accommodations. Small rooms, that are being updated. Bath was well kept and clean. Older, family owned motel, moderately priced. Great place, if not fussy. Sit in the river overlook during sunset, spectacular. Friendly owners with excellent coffee choices via Keurig. Not a full breakfast, but the Anchor Grill two blocks East offers full service meals, and the Owner cooks... More

This is a friendly, family-owned place in Chamberlain, South Dakota, and worth staying for more than one night. The view is perfection and the rooms are quaint and comfortable. You absolutely cannot beat the value for the location. I would give a 5-star if there were coffee pots & refrigerators in all the rooms -- only in select ones. However,... More
