The fires in Montana required a last minute change in vacation plans and we quickly remembered our wonderful stay at Hisega Lodge last year. We stayed in two rooms - first in Sade and second in Ethel. Both rooms are small with queen beds and...More
My friend and I stayed here two nights in August. The lodge is very charming and the staff are extremely helpful and welcoming. The room was very clean and comfortable, and the seating out on the porch, where you can hear the nearby stream rushing...More

We stayed here for 5 days with another couple while out in the area for the Sturgis Rally. While it was tight, there was parking for a truck and trailer with our motorcycles. The family and staff that run the place are fantastic! Always helpful,...More

I know I'm butting in, perhaps where I don't belong, but wanted to say I've stayed at Hisega numerous times under both the current owner (Tara) and previous owner. For me, and my family, the absolute highlight of our stay has been the communal breakfast! We love meeting other guests and the lively, and interesting conversations, we are sure to have. Please don't change this! I think it would be far easier for those who don't want this to eat at a separate table than to dispense with the communal breakfast. And, having stayed at many bed and breakfast places over the years, I can say with absolutely certainty that lack of choice (other than accommodating allergies and special diets, as Hisega as always done) is the norm. This is not a place with a "menu" nor would it be practical for such a small inn to offer a menu. I believe all this is quite clear from the inn's website. :-)
All that being said, it could be that this style of inn won't suit everyone, and that's life. But, for anyone looking for a charming inn with charming hosts and incredible (albeit with no "choice") breakfast, this is your place. :-)
