Had a very enjoyable one night stay. Hosts were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The breakfast was very good. I've stayed in fancy hotels and not received as good a breakfast. It's not 5stars but neither is the price. Would stay again.

Old house transformed into a hotel. They kept the “old house” look and feel. It’s cool, especially all the old furniture in the room, but it has some inconveniences like the creaking plank floor, thin walls (we could hear the neighbours’ TV). Good price. Small room, but huge bathroom. In fact, the room is very tiny: we can barely walk...

The Pilgrim's Rest is literally next door to Mount Melleray, the Cistercian monastery, and was very atmospheric, and old building, but with comfortable facilities. The management was extremely helpful and the room spotless and warm. Good continental breakfast. It was super value for money and would be perfect as a base for visiting the area - the monastery, Blackwater valley,...

After a long journey, it was what I was looking for. Clean room, perfect water and air temperatures, very kind boss, good meal, relaxing atmosphere and good price. The cathedral is very close. If you are looking for something luxurious, this is not the choise, on the other hand....If you need to take a rest, that is the best option.

A clean, and comfortable room no complaints with the accommodation. I probably paid in the upper regions €44 pr night but I had a double and a single bed in my room. Would've been very good value if there was 2 or 3 people in the room.A hearty breakfast and the owners were very welcoming. I was very pleased with...

The host made us feel welcome right away. The room was lovely with antique furniture. It was a very large room and the bathroom was spacious also. The shower was nice. Very peaceful and accommodating.

A small family run Hotel which despite any negative reviews you may read, is in fact excellent. Read the terms and conditions and if you want something special have the courtesy to ring them and ask. If your going to be late, again ring and tell them. They start in the early morning with breakfast and deserve some down time...
