Bramble Rock is a family run B&B situated 350 metres from the centre of Laragh village up a quiet road L1059 past St John's Church. While staying at our home we hope that you relax and enjoy our hospitality and make the most of all that Laragh and Glendalough have to offer within walking distance. We have views over Trooperstown from two of the rooms and Derrybawn from another room. You can relax in our living room area and read any of the books we have available or just listen to the birds singing. All our rooms are en-suite and spacious. Two of them can accommodate three people. A good night's sleep is guaranteed in our comfortable beds. Each morning we invite you to choose from our tasty breakfast menu and enjoy home-cooked bread and local produce. We can also cater for special dietary requirements too. The Duffy family look forward to welcoming you to our home for what we hope will be the first of many visits.

For all walkers, this B&B is heaven. Its extremely quiet, the bedrooms are very comfortable and the breakfast is delicious. The host was kind and attentive and we really enjoyed our chats. We were there for only a short stay but will be back to stay longer to enjoy the many walks in the area. The bedroom was large and the bathroom spotless, it was actually better than the hotel we stayed in the night before. There was no bath but we don't use baths so made no difference to us. I can not recommend this to walkers and others who want to enjoy the scenic area highly enough.

Anne is a very friendly host. She makes you feel veel right at home. The breakfast was complete with different kinds of cereals and yoghurts, cooked breakfasts , toast, fresh fruit. You can make coffee/tea in the room and there is a fridge in the hall. The bathroom is spacious. There are multiple dinner place to choose from and there is a convenience store near by

This b&b is in the country but only a 5 minute walk into the village. B&B is clean and very welcoming and we were made to feel at home. Rooms were clean and we wanted for nothing. Having the use of a fridge / freezer was very useful as no one likes warm wine or beer. Village has shops, hotel, and a great restaurant. The Wicklow Heather Restaurant is always very busy and the food is fantastic. Ann offered to drive us into the village when it was raining. Thanks. Best of all was the cooked breakfast…amazing and one of the best we have ever had. Would definitely recommend if you are visiting Glendalough.

Your Home Away From Home in Laragh. This is a family run B&B that is exceptionally clean and welcoming. The owners are very helpful and can offer suggestions to the travelers. The breakfast options are varied and all are prepared well. Don’t expect elegance, just very good accommodations and superb service.

From the moment I booked this B&B, I knew we would have a great stay. Ann was a wonderful host who put us at ease from the moment we arrived. Exceptionally clean, comfortable and in a beautiful quiet location off the main road. Only a 5 min walk to the nearest pub/restaurants and convenience store in Laragh. Absolutely delicious breakfasts which kept us fuelled for the day as we navigated the Wicklow Mountains. Ann also provided us with packed lunches for the day which eased the pressure of having to find something to buy nearby. Thoroughly enjoyed our weekend. We will be back and we will certainly recommend Bramble Rock to our friends and family. Thank you Ann.

Lovely place to stay, Ann was lovely with lots of local information. The room was spotless and a very comfy bed. Breakfast, there was a lot of choice which had to be ordered on a form the night before. There are tea making facilities in the room with a fridge at the bottom of the stairs with milk in and jus on top so just put in the amount needed and take to your room.This is a very good B&B for people who want to go hiking.we spent two nights here.

My husband and I (ages 80 & 70) arrived at Bramble Rock having flown for 16+ hours from San Diego, having driven a couple hours down narrow roads (on the 'other' side of the road) and were exhausted. We couldn't possibly have had a warmer welcome from Ann. The room was large, beautifully furnished and decorated, and very airy and light. The bathroom was new, modern with a great shower. We hit the very comfortable bed for several hours and revived enough to head out for dinner. Ann directed us to the Wicklow Heather where I had my old stand-by, a BLT, and my husband had the best seafood chowder he'd ever had. (See our review on the Wicklow Heather, best food we had in Ireland.) We were there for two nights as we explored amazing Glendalough (not to be missed). Ann's breakfast were wonderful, other guests were friendly. She helped us get in touch with relatives we'd never met before and made reservations at the Wicklow Heather for all of us for 'Sunday lunch', as it was Sunday and would be crowded. Ann welcomed us all back with a cup of tea. This was our 4th trip to Ireland, always staying in B&Bs and Bramble Rock was one of best we've ever stayed in, not only in the physical environment but also in the hospitality. We highly recommend it!!

I booked a room on the recommendation of a friend, and am I glad I listened! We had walked a considerable distance of the Wicklow Way by the time we strolled into Bramble Rock in the late afternoon. But if it was an odd choice of check-in time, our hostess Ann betrayed absolutely no irritation or surprise. And when we asked if a woman in our company, who would not be staying the night, could avail of the shower facilities, it was absolutely no problem. Another member of our party had brought a tent and wished to camp. Ann was more than generous in providing tips and advice. In both instances, there was absolutely nothing in it for Ann but she gave freely of her time and knowledge. My room was cosy and tidy, with a powerful shower in the en-suite bathroom. Breakfast - ordered by filling in a form before bedtime - was delicious, with plenty of choice. I was able to help myself to a fruit salad and yogurt while my full Irish was being prepared. Again, Ann proved herself an excellent hostess, chatting easily to patrons without being intrusive or prying. On the morning we departed, there was at least 1 other couple staying there, and as we left the local Wicklow Way luggage delivery service called - so I imagine business is brisk at Bramble Rock and Ann hardly needs my thoughts on my stay but I wanted to note an establishment where the owners get everything right.
