Bramble Rock is a family run B&B situated 350 metres from the centre of Laragh village up a quiet road past St John's Church. While staying at our home we hope that you relax and enjoy our hospitality and make the most of all that Laragh and Glendalough have to offer within walking distance. We have views over Trooperstown from two of the rooms and Derrybawn from another room. You can relax in our living room area and read any of the books we have available or just listen to the birds singing. All our rooms are en-suite and spacious. Two of them can accommodate a family. A good night's sleep is guaranteed in our comfortable beds. Each morning we invite you to choose from our tasty breakfast menu and enjoy home-cooked bread and local produce. We can also cater for special dietary requirements too. The Duffy family look forward to welcoming you to our home for what we hope will be the first of many visits.

For all walkers, this B&B is heaven. Its extremely quiet, the bedrooms are very comfortable and the breakfast is delicious. The host was kind and attentive and we really enjoyed our chats. We were there for only a short stay but will be back to stay longer to enjoy the many walks in the area. The bedroom was large and the bathroom spotless, it was actually better than the hotel we stayed in the night before. There was no bath but we don't use baths so made no difference to us. I can not recommend this to walkers and others who want to enjoy the scenic area highly enough.

We stayed in Ireland for 3 weeks, and Bramble Rock is certainly one of the best B&B that we stayed in. We had the Ash room upstairs: very big, clean, cosy and confortable. The breakfasts are outstanding. The hosts are very nice and ensure that your stay is as good as possible. I can't recommend it enough !

Between two periods of urban vacation in Ireland we wanted to spend some time on a more rural setting and chose the Glendalough area, which appeared to offer plenty of scenic countryside for hiking and photography, as well as historical sights. As we were traveling with public transport Bramble Rock appeared to have a convenient location near a restaurant and a pub, so we booked a room for four nights. Our room (named "Laurel") was roughly on the opposite side of the house from the main entrance and the road, potentially making it the quietest one. However, we did hear very little noises coming from the daily life even outside our room, so I doubt any of the rooms could be considered noisy. The room was comfortably large and had all the basic amenities. Having a fridge available almost next to our room was also a nice perk. Wi-Fi was a little slow when used from our room, but as I had plenty of roaming data quota available on my cellphone contract, I just mostly used that instead. Ann and Ger were very considerate hosts. In addition to basic things such as the breakfast, housekeeping etc, they happily offered additional hospitality. Ger did give me and my significant other a ride to the Glenmacnass waterfall, so I could save some time on a longer hiking trip by avoiding the mundane part along the road and she could enjoy seeing the waterfall. On the next day when I was pondering where to hike next, Ann suggested a route that I would have not known to consider, but which turned out to have quite magnificent views. Finally, while departing via bus, we got a ride to the bus stop with our luggage. That's what I call hospitality! We did also quite enjoy the company of their two dogs, who quickly understood that the two humans behind the window were prone to happily offer attention to them with very little persuasion. All in all, this was definitely an excellent B&B and I'm hard-pressed to offer any actual improvement suggestions. A tip for those who come back from restaurant or the bar by foot after sunset; as Bramble Rock is along a short stretch of road with no streetlights and the village of Laragh doesn't produce much stray light, you may want to have some source of light (a smartphone flash LED will do) with you for convenience.

Stayed here for 3 nights in July 2019. What a super B&B, Ann and Ger are fantastic hosts and have a beautiful home. Ger's breakfasts are first class and a very wide selection to chose from. Our room was very nice indeed, everything in the room that you would need. We were travelling on our Motorbike, one morning it was raining so we waited a short while in the conservatory before setting off for a trip around the Wicklow Mountains. Real good parking, we would not hesitate to recommend Bramble Rock and looking forward to a return stay soon.

We stayed at Bramble Rock for two days, September 11 and 12, 2018. We found a beautiful home, lovely and spacious rooms, delicious breakfast, convenient location to Glendalough, and very friendly hosts. What was not to like! I would definitely recommend Bramble Rock if you are in the Wicklow Mountains.

Two nights at this quiet B&B in Laragh, Ireland. A spacious room with comfortable bed and private bath. Delicious and filling breakfasts. Ann and her husband, owners, were very personable and delightful to chat with. We could hear the cuckoo birds in the forest outside our bedroom window which was a treat. I had only ever heard a cuckoo clock and now I've heard the actual bird. WiFi is available only in the common areas on the first floor. Not a problem for us. We enjoyed chatting with other guests as well as the owners. Our decision to stay here was based on visiting Glendalough Monastery and surrounding area which was a good decision. We would stay here again if we were to visit the area.
