If visiting Glendalough you must visit this restaurant. With a group of 6 adults we cannot fault this lovely location. The facilities are very clean. The staff are very friendly and the food is excellent in both taste and value. Top marks to this lovely establishment.

Heather House was our first stop on our recent tour of Ireland, and initially was rather a shock. We had been advised that improvements were taking place but that our booked accommodation was not affected, but pulling up outside it appeared to be a wreck and no one could be found to help! However a chap finally appeared and confirmed... More

The B&B is divided in two parts: the main house and the cottages. We stayed in the main house. Our room was warm, spacious and perfectly clean. In the house you can find a sitting room where you can relax and make a tea and a common room with TV. All the staff was very kind, friendly and efficient. I... More

We were pleasantly surprised as we entered our B&B apartement, it was very spacious and the interiour was very beautiful. Also, we were lucky to have the apartement with a bathtub and huge bathroom. We had everything we needed and more and the breakfast was excellent. All in all it was very good value for money. And the surrounding area... More

Having ridden up from Dublin in the rain the welcome we had from John was fabulous. There was no problem with standing in the hall dripping all over the place. The room was warm and spacious with amazing views (even through the rain) with plenty of radiator space for drying our cycling gear! The house has a lovely home from... More

While eating at the Wicklow Heather (great review there as well!) my travel companion and I were using the Wifi to find a nearby hostel or cheap room for the night. Our waitress overheard us and immediately offered up one of the cottages at Heather House. It was well within our budget and since we loved the food we decided... More

What a pleasant stay at Glendalough’s Heather House B&B. This B&B is actually cottages arranged in a patio garden area. Each cottage houses two B&B units. Each unit consists of a comfortable seating area (sofa, chair, TV, & kitchenette with sink, microwave & fridge) and two separate sleeping areas (double bed in one area and single in other). The arrangement... More

If you don't mind your Bed and Breakfasts operating like anonymous hotels, then you might not take exception to this place. It (and another nearby B&B) are essentially run by the staff of the Wicklow Heather Restaurant. The rooms are decent and the property is well maintained but there is no human presence, apart from anonymous cleaning staff. And both... More

Hi there! We are really upset to hear of your less than desirable experience with us in our Heather House Guesthouse and Apartments. Is it most distressing that you feel a small sum was missing from your bag. In the 25 years of doing business in the beautiful area of Glendalough, we can assure you we have not had this... More

We had a lovely overnight in The Bungalows at Heather House fab meal in the restaurent and blessed with lovely sunshine. Rooms are lovely but I would suggest glasses, plates and dustpan should be available for the kitchen in the house. Staff are very helpful and friendly in the restaurent

Travelling with our family of 4 (2 adult children) summer 2014 we had 2 chalets behind the main building. They each had a wonderful patio with tables and chairs (we were surrounded by birds singing). Beds were comfortable, sitting area was cozy, and just down the road was a wonderful restaurant. Having our room ready for an early arrival and... More
