This was our first time at this hotel and it certainly won’t be our last. All the staff are so helpful and polite and nothing is too much trouble. Thank you to Joanna and Stephen in the dining room you were so attentive and the service was excellent. A massive thank you to the chef who we didn’t get to meet but your meals and menus were amazing. The rooms are not ce and spacious and very clean. Reception staff were very helpful and very friendly Thank you all and see you soon.
Staff in this hotel are very friendly and the hotel is a good base for touring the east of the island. The rooms are a decent size with comfortable beds. But the place is a bit dated - especially the bathrooms - and parking is tricky, especially if you have a large car. For the quality of the hotel, it’s very expensive for what you get.
Very pleasant comfortable hotel with all the facilities I needed as was there on business. Excellent breakfast choice with pleasant service by Karolina, and location was good for my purposes with pleasant walk to Gorey, although excellent bus service stops are just outside the front door, if weather not favourable. Lovely garden to relax, and swimming pool was a welcome facility. Room was large and comfortable again ticked all boxes. Housekeeping staff very pleasant and helpful.I didn’t eat in evening at hotel but heard favourable comments from others. The bar was quiet and relaxing so all very pleasant. Finally the reception staff Andrea and Manuela were very helpful and there was overall a very personal friendly service which was greatly appreciated. I’d have no hesitation in returning, and will, with family, hopefully later this year, for a more leisurely break. Thank you.…
Agree with others - friendly staff and excellent location but agree with previous reviews very dated especially the bathrooms and general areas with the pool especially being a retro nightmare. Our room was opposite a fire exit and often full of staff standing and chatting - not great at 6am! The parking is dire but fine if you park in nearby public car park. The room is circa 1960’and ours completed that opinion by smelling of stale cigarette smoke. My main issue is the price - it was approaching £150 per night (I am sure due to the pandemic when actually it’s a £60 per night travel lodge)! It’s by no means the worse place I’ve stayed but may be worth adjusting expectation / reducing price to reflect experience and facilities.
We stayed for a week in apartment 6 on the top floor. Only space for 2 adults really and would be cramped with a family for sleeping space. The apartment is nice with a lounge/kitchen area, one bedroom and a bath/shower room. All pretty clean and lots of hanging space in the bedroom. Kitchen has all you need ( kettle, toaster, microwave etc..) Bed is comfortable enough and has separate duvets for each half of the bed! Didn't eat in the hotel as the veggie options were out of the 1970's with omelettes and salads, very poor choice for £25 and much nicer places to eat in Gorey like the Drifters restaurant. We didn't have much interaction with the staff but they always seemed ready to help and polite, the day porter carried our cases up the stairs on arrival. The bus stop is outside with numerous buses passing every hour to St Helier and then anywhere on the island onwards from there, get a transfer ticket if you are carrying on your journey as that saves paying £2 again if you continue within an hour to your final destination. Hotel is next to a golf course and a short walk from the beach. There is a co-op and Iceland within walking distance. The Pembroke pub is close too. We had a nice week at the Beausite and would recommend the apartments if you like your own space but don't want to sit on a hotel bed when you get home.…
Faultless, staff, food, drink, rooms, management so helpful and friendly. We booked this holiday with Jet2, we would definitely return but never through Jet2, prefer travel agents who have the ability to answer the phone and respond to emails. Suggest Jet2 management visit this hotel to learn how to treat their customers
Had 11 nights here from early September. Difficult to fault - ideal location close to charming harbour of Gory, opposite Golf Course, frequent bus service, CoOP store and Pub within 5 minute walk. Efficient and very friendly staff, breakfast and dinner to a very high standard and hands-on management by owner. We will definitely return
The staff were lovely particularly Joanna at breakfast and the chambermaids were great. They worked so hard. The owners son was very friendly and hilariously funny at the bar. It was a Long long walk to the bedroom and there is no lift. Difficult car park. Very low water pressure. Everything else good. It was spotlessly clean and the breakfast was excellent.
This hotel is a gem! Very warm welcome and, without exception, friendly and efficient staff, for whom nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is spotlessly clean, calm , peaceful and quiet. Lovely indoor pool, overlooking the gardens and really good selection for breakfast and dinner. Highly recommended- I will definitely return.
We really enjoyed our 6 night stay at Beausite. The location is great for independent travellers. It’s a short walk to a wide open and sparsely populated beach, about 20 minutes walk to Gorey pier for restaurants and the imposing castle and straight outside the hotel are bus stops to Gorey/ St Catherine’s or 3 routes to St Helier for exploring there and the rest of the island. Hotel was a bit pricey at £150 per night but that seems to reflect Jersey rates as places recover from the tough last two years. A couple of elements seemed dated, particularly the bathroom/plumbing. The room was a decent size and comfortable. There’s no lift but porter service for the two upstairs floors. Bar area was friendly with a free jukebox and the garden area was nicely sheltered and seemed popular with people relaxing in the day there. What really stood out was the service and overall atmosphere with each staff member fulfilling different roles, but always with efficiency and a a smile. This gave Beausite a family run feel and we would definitely return. We didn’t try the evening meals but the breakfasts were spot on. Thanks all.…
