Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Excellent location and everything very good in the hotel, i.e. staff, accommodation and restaurant. Very good indoor pool and gym. Also nice outdoor pool although too early in the season to use. Well laid out gardens on sloping ground behind the hotel.

Had a fantastic massage in the spa. Lee on the reception was excellent; very friendly and welcoming. The therapist, Kaysea, was also brilliant. Atmosphere in the treatment rooms is very relaxing and the prices are reasonable. Would highly recommend.

Fabulous hotel in a great location overlooking the bay. Our room was lovely with comfortable furnishings and clean. The ESPA toiletries were a nice surprise. The breakfast was amazing with many choices from the buffet and kitchen. We used the gym (very well equipped) and the spa a few times. The staff throughout the hotel were always welcoming and helpful. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend.

We had booked an overnight so my husband and I could spend some quality time together. A week and a half before our booking , sadly my husband was given the news he had to go to to the uk for four weeks treatment so I asked the hotel if I could change our booking and gave the reason why. We were offered a Sunday night which I am not allowed to take as I work in a education so they said there was no other option. I would never have asked if we hadn’t a good reason . Rather than lose it, which we would have, I took my daughter but feel quite sad they the hotel couldn’t in this instance helped us out.

The loveliest hotel in Jersey. I am a regular and will only stay in this hotel in Jersey and have done for many years. However, it was different this time. The menu has changed and not for the better. Choices were much more basic and not cooked very well. The quality was not as good and the works of art on the deserts missing. I think the chef may have changed as the food was not like previous visits. It was also disappointing to find out there was a budget to spend of £45 per evening meal and any overspend added to your bill . Lots of regulars will not care for this and may lead to more complaints. The service staff were really good and polite. I felt for them. This hotel has always been amazing value for money but the food needs attention as loyalty disappears quickly if the experience is not good when there are other choices. The hotel is well loved so we do hope this will be looked at. The spa and gym the best I have ever visited . Location unbeaten. Great staff in the restaurant. Attentive and well mannered.

We are regulars at St Brelades Bay hotel. We were looking forward to the new menu and new exciting dishes. Unfortunately we were let down and the menu was disappointing. We had soup to start which was lovely. But the mains were poor value my husband had the chicken, which consisted of a small chicken breast cut in two, 2 wet asparagus and a burnt fondant potato, I had the lamb tagine which was cooked to perfection, although far to much cous cous and little juice making this quite a dry dish. The biggest let down was the dessert gone are the masterpieces of the past replace by a lot of jelly and icecream. The lady on the table beside us sent back her pork as she couldn’t cut it. Management were quick to apologise but her replacement meal was sea bass and she was given the wrong order of plaice instead which was rectified,by that time her husband had eaten his dinner. The waiters did a fabulous front of house service .my advice to the hotel is please up your game, bring back the desserts, make dinner value for money as there is a lot of competition out there.
