We returned to the Royal after a 2 year break in the middle of the COVID-19 crisis and this has hit the hospitality industry very hard in Jersey with the Royal not being that busy. However, the room as usual was spacious, well furnished, clean and comfortable with a huge bathroom! The breakfast is normally a buffet but this time it was table service, as good as buffet service, and the quality of the food was very good. The mini-croissants and small danish in particular were very fresh. One small point, we still receive tea-pots with coffee in on some mornings; there is a difference between tea and coffee pots. Please see the photos of the food, truly delicious 😋. The staff were efficient, friendly and helpful. This is an excellent place to stay as the hotel is a short walk to the town centre and it has limited car parking, but really only for small cars. Thank you for another excellent stay at the Royal, much appreciated.

Stayed 7 days mid Sept. Location is 5 to 6 mins from main shopping area, 10 from Liberation Square. Limited parking but not a problem for us as they were quiet. Room had a terrace which was actually part of the main first floor terrace so not private. Four poster and massive bathroom although room not so big. All fine except it got terribly hot at night. Breakfast great but portions very large. Service was good. All the staff friendly and helpful. We ate in 6 nights. You can eat in the restaurant, bar or 1st floor conservatory, two menus available in all of them. Food quality and service very good. Because of Covid room did not get cleaned or bed made which was a bit of a pain.

It is wonderful that your found us to be in a great location with very good food quality and service during your week long stay. Best Western 'Hotels that Care' Covid hygiene protocols are in place at the Royal. As noted in in-bedroom dedicated literature, bedrooms will be made-up and serviced fully if requested by 10am. This is clearly stated for guest reassurance and we will seek to further emphasise this aspect going forward. You may wish to note that many guests do consciously wish for minimum intervention in their accommodation during their stay.

Although this was at the end of the season we had a very pleasant stay. The hotel was quite busy and staff were all friendly, coping very well with the covid restrictions putting guests at ease. All the usual facilities were available (Restaurant/Bar).

It is wonderful that you enjoyed your stay. We are a popular choice for out of season stays being sheltered in the town near the High Street. We comply with the audited protocols for Covid as laid down by Best Western and we are pleased that this gave you added confidence with your stay. Your feedback is greatly appreciated.

Originally booked the Monteray however when I phoned them I was informed that it was shut till February. Arrived Sunday about 13-00hrs and was checked in with no problem. Bit of a trek to the room but we found a short cut later without breaking Covid one way systems. Room was very good with a four poster bed and huge walk in shower in the bathroom. Sunday lunch was very good and reasonably priced. Drinks were about pub prices so no problem there. Hotel staff could not have been more helpful throughout our stay. Due to Covid restrictions Breakfast was served at the table which my wife prefers. Food was of a good quality and plentiful. The couple of times that we ate in the Hotel food was really good and always piping hot. Chef even sorted us out a toasted sandwich one evening which wasn't on the menu. Overall a reallyenjoyable week, would definately book again.

Your 5/5 review for all categories is greatly appreciated by our team at the Royal, especially so as we were an alternate hotel for your stay and not the hotel you had originally reserved. Thank you for noting that we were able to meet your specific wish one evening for a particular catering choice item, extra to our normal menu. We hope to welcome you back sometime soon.

I've just had a relaxing 1 week stay here, the staff were friendly and helpful and the room was spotlessly clean. The food was excellent, well presented and delicious. The hotel is full of character and it is just a few minutes walk into the centre of St. Helier. I have stayed here before, and will again in the future, as it is a great hotel. I would highly recommend a stay here - even in these covid times, you can still have a great holiday!
