Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A quiet, comfortable night, the staff are absolutely lovely and very kindly let us leave our bags for a few hours after checkout so we could have a walk around a boiling hot St Helier without having to lug them around with us. Very nice breakfast too.

We arrived and decided to return later as we had a friend to visit. The car park was the only disadvantage in my opinion. The madeiran lady gave us complimentary bread on two occasions. Lovely friendly service, clean rooms with tea and coffee tray. I would have preferred a room on the first floor as too many steps for me but Lovely when we got up there. The bathroom was tiny but for the price it was great value for money. Breakfast on both days was good but please get some mushrooms. Overall a good stay and we would certainly come again when we next visit Jersey. Thank you to the ladies who work so hard to provide a beautifully clean and welcoming place.

Lovely family run guest house. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Nothing too much trouble. Good size rooms and daily house keeping. Beds very comfortable. Lovely cooked breakfast every morning. Close to the beach ideal for families and a 15 minute or so walk to the centre of St Helier.

This guest house must be the best value in the whole of Jersey. It is a less than 5 minute walk from the sea and Jersey Lido and a 15 to 20 mins walk into the centre of town. We had a 3 bed family room although there were only 2 of us and it didn't feel cramped. Everything was a bit shabby and the bathroom certainly needed to be refurbished but for the price we couldn't (and didn't!) complain. Everything was spotlessly clean and the family who run it are delightful. Breakfast is enormous with an excellent choice and is included in the price. Highly recommended.

Just back from our first visit to Jersey. Stayed 2 nights at the Thalatta guest house and it was just perfect for us. The hotel itself is in a central position and just up the road from the sea. The rooms were clean and warm and we had the most beautiful breakfast which was piping hot, the lady that runs it was very welcoming and friendly. Jersey is just beautiful and the young man singing at the Lamplighter pub was fantastic. All in all a perfect small break and I would head back to the Thalatta every time.

This is our 2nd visit to this guest house, we find it excellent for the money. Paula the owner is very friendly. Yes it's a little dated, but rooms are clean, beds are comfy, shower good and towels replaced every day. Breakfast is included in the price, which is very good and hot, and plenty of it. I think if you were veggie you would have to check in advance to get veggie sausages etc included for your breakfast as it dosent state this on the menu. You need to bring your own toilteries as these aren't included. We would have no hesitation in booking this b&b when we next return to Jersey.
