The second visit to the Mayfair and again I was happy with the cleanliness, location and overall standard of the hotel. My room was comfortable along with a modern bathroom although I do feel the carpet could do with a clean but it was not heavily stained. Tea and coffee making facilities are most well stocked and most welcome after...

We have just returned from a most enjoyable Christmas Break at the Mayfair Hotel. We were in Room 304 which is a front facing spacious room. The facilities were spotlessly clean and the room and bathroom were comfortably warm. Plenty of wardrobe and drawer space and a hospitality tray well stocked. The staff were polite and friendly and particularly Jane...

Fantastic holiday, hotel very pleasant, we had upgraded to a junior suite & it was fantastic. Big spacious room, with a separate sitting room with a television in both the bedroom & sitting room. Service at the hotel was also excellent.

Chatting to each other when tables needed clearing and serving, muttering under their breaths about guests and the food was a lot to be desired, watery scrambled egg, burnt sausage and inedible kippers. One particular waiter was so...

Being a single person you usually get the smallest room going; however the Mayfair far exceeded my expectations. My room 420 was perfect for my needs, very quiet. I was able to check in at 10.00 am again I was very surprised and it meant I could have a cup of tea (yes they even had tea/coffee making facilities in...
