Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Pluses: Rooms clean, comfortable, quiet, everything works, shower, tea and coffee in the rooms. Easy access to the town centre. (10 minute walk to the central bus station). Christine and Philip are excellent hosts. The staff are friendly and efficient. We tried the ham and cheese breakfast and the fruit breakfast. Both great. Minuses: Can't think of any! Will stay there again I'm sure!

I (an octogenarian travelling with 4 others of my age, all very experienced travellers) have never met hoteliers like Christine and Phillip. They and their staff are the most helpful people you could ever ask for. The rooms are not large nor fancy but very clean & comfortable and the breakfast was, as many reviewers have noted, superb. Location is quite convenient with restaurants, a great pub, a grocery store, a chemist, and bus stops all nearby. One evening Christine had suggested the Admiral Pub when asked and gave us directions. We headed out in the dark but took the wrong Y at an intersection only to hear her yell from the other side of the street. She had followed us to make sure we didn't get lost. Would Paris Hilton do that?.

Booked by the hospital for 2 of us because my friend had suffered a fall. Christina could not have been more helpful if we had been her own family. This hotel did not do evening meals but she took me to a take away so I could get something for us. We were having problems with our phones and the Travel Insurance firm. She did telephoning and e-mailed our documents etc. Altered the time the taxi had been booked for, to a more sensible time and told them we would need help at the ferry port. As we were leaving she actually gave us some fresh fruit and drinks to help us. The hotel was lovely and the quite extensive breakfast (continental) was brilliant with table service. We would definitely book there if we go to Jersey again.

Fantastic! Great location and a really well run hotel. Most importantly - thank you to Anna Bella for being an amazing breakfast host and for making us smile before 10am - warm; friendly; efficient; helpful, and great at her job. Extra thank you for the gluten and dairy-free options. Thank you also to the housekeeping staff for making our room and the hotel such a nice place to be. Kate and Charlotte :)

A really nice hotel! Well-located for a short walk into St. Helier. Lovely park opposite. Smooth lift for upper floors. Small safe in room. Pickup point for coach tours just around the corner. Breakfasts were filling and set us up for the day. The staff were top-notch - helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. They were able to help with booking tickets and even provided a packed breakfast for our early flight. Only downsides : Decor is somewhat "retro" (not many power points) but very clean and well-maintained. Room got a bit warm even with windows wide open (we were able to borrow a fan from downstairs). Bit noisy with gulls and traffic. 4.5/5.

Dated decor, uncomfortable bed, bathroom facilities poor and shower head particularly dirty. Breakfast limited but adequate . We were lucky we had a back room but it was on a main road. Positive note, we did have a car and there was on site parking .

The Mornington is located within easy walking distance of the town. The hotel is family run & it is quite obvious why many guests are regular visitors. Staff & management are attentive and welcoming. This well run hotel, although a little dated, offers clean, en suite rooms and hearty breakfasts. Laundry facilites are available and if you have to check out early a super pre packed breakfast can be arranged. We will return!
