Have just returned from a lovely 3night stay at the Seascale which is located right on the sea front overlooking Gorey Bay. Had previously visited Mount Orgueil Castle but it was nice to view it again from the harbour. My room (a double with sea view) was spotless & very "New England" with both bath & shower in the ensuite...

We took our sons and daughter and their families to the Seascale (12 of us) and as has always been the case, for well over 40 years(in my wife's and my case), none of us were disappointed. The food and service were very good. The new décor was a pleasant surprise and sort of explained the 80% rise in the...

We called mid morning for coffee several times on our week in Jersey, what more do you want other than sitting outside drinking very good coffee with a great view out over the harbour. But on seeing espetadas on the menu we booked for diner one night and we were not disappointed real Portuguese food cooked very well served by excellent...

We only stopped here for morning coffee but glad we did. To sit out on the terrace with a lovely view of the harbour and enjoy a cuppa was to be recommended. The staff were only just setting up for the morning but were happy to set an early place for us so hopefully that's an indication of how good...

Whilst visiting my dad that lives in Gorey him and his partner booked me and my wife and child here for a meal I have been to this restaurant before and love the selection of food especially the Portuguese style food I order the espadas every time which is like a kebab on a skewer with big chunks of steak...

Lots of positive reviews on here and a busy place with many people enjoying their food. However, photos of the food outside were off putting. Staff friendly and efficient, but menu too extensive - pizza, pasta, Portuguese, curry, fish. Nowhere can do all that - well. Fish chips looked good, plaice tasteless, frozen vegetables, hard pre- cooked chicken, but in...

Seascales is set in Gorey - a seaside town with small and pleasant harbour under an ancient castle all well worth a visit - but if you want an inviting and delicious meal I'd suggest you could not go wrong with going to Seascales -(note if you are going at the weekend you may need to book to guarantee a...

We had a really good time when we stayed at the Seascale in Gorey. Staff very friendly and helpful, Duarte Carlos Candy - thanks for our steak sandwich meals! Breakfasts were amazing (as recommended by Martin). Rooms were very clean and tidy with lovely view of the sea. Would definitely stay there again and highly recommended to others.

We walked to Gorey this afternoon and spent an enjoyable hour sat on the terrace at the Seascale overlooking Gorey harbour. The setting has one of the best views along the strip of bars and restaurants as it is slightly raised. Wine is very reasonably priced and we enjoyed a good hour relaxing, looking at the view. We wanted a...
