Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Another faultless stay at this lovely hotel. Luxurious deluxe room and a beautifully cooked (and presented) meal added up to a perfect overnight stay. The staff were all very welcoming and professional.

A lovely hotel that we selected very carefully for a 4 night stay to mark a special anniversary that we informed the hotel about at the time of booking, a couple of months earlier. The room was perfect and food and service were, for the most part, excellent. We double checked early on the day of the anniversary that all was well for our dinner booking and that, although we didn’t want any ‘fuss’, we would be allocated a nice table in the dining room. It was therefore disappointing to find ourselves allocated a table in a dark corner of a secondary dining area instead of in the pretty main dining room. However it was a quiet spot (to begin with), so we didn’t complain. It was even more disappointing, to say the least, to be joined, at the end of our (delicious) first course. by a large group of noisy young men on a ‘ boys night out’, seated at a table so close I found myself sitting closer to one of them than I was to my husband. From that point any conversation between my husband and myself was impossible, as we could not hear each other over the noise from the neighbouring table, and our anniversary was ruined. Eventually the Maitre’d moved us to a different table in the main dining room, but the situation should never have arisen, and by that time our Golden Wedding celebration dinner had been ruined. While the cost of the meal itself was, (after some argument with the duty manager the following day) deducted from our final account, some 3 weeks later we still await a satisfactory explanation or compensation for the distress caused by the hotel ruining our Golden Wedding dinner. We will NOT be going back and would certainly not recommend this hotel for any special occasion.

The most wonderful hotel, only stayed for three days, wished it could have been more. Everything was perfect. Room, staff, food were all excellent, very good cocktail menu. Would definitely stay again.

We have stayed here twice now and will be returning again and again for the forseeable future. The moment you drive into the beautiful courtyard and are met by the ever ready and attentive front of house staff, you know this is no ordinary hotel and indeed nothing they do is average. The rooms are beautifuuly appointed with immaculate attentin to detail. Homemade biscuits, fresh fruit and a jolly decent bottle of Merlot await you with the compliments of the management. The restaurant food is utterly sublime and probably some of the best food we have ever eaten (and we have been very spoilt). The grounds, kitchen gardens, wellness centre and pool are reason enough alone to visit this unique hotel, but coupled with the aforementioned outstanding qualities this is an unmissable experience. The majority of the staff have been 'part of the family'for many years and their interaction with guests is joyful and something to behold. They are clearly well cared for, looked after and take enormous pleasure in what they do; and it shows. Special mention must go the the chef, the gifted and very talented Andrew Baird. The amazing mixologist and silver-tongued Diogo who has an apptitude for inventing world-class, seasonal cocktails. I experienced the creme de la creme of massages here and was transformed by the impeccably professional Clair who has something very magical and restorative in her tecnique . If you want to feel cossetted with a service that is all but invisible, yet totally faultless this is the place for you. Honestly speaking we could not find any demerits and hats off to the owners, Malcolm and Patricia Lewis.

We had 6 nights here and had a wonderful time. Service was excellent and the restaurant was fabulous too - the food was lovely especially the tasting menus. The hotel is about 25/30 minutes walk to St Helier - but just get a taxi. There seemed to be many returning guests which speaks a lot about the hotel. Installing air conditioning would be a complex proposition so in the height of summer the bedrooms could be uncomfortable but there are many more reasons why you should book this hotel. We will be returning too in 2024

Outstanding family lunch here to celebrate my parents anniversary. Beautiful surroundings and gardens too. Ate the goats cheese fondant with beetroot as a starter which was gorgeous followed by a fillet steak with the braised ox tail, flavour combinations were perfect with the lovely rich beef jus. Our whole party had different starters and main courses but each and every one was perfectly presented and were delicious. We are in several top restaurants while in Jersey and this was by far the best food we ate!

We have just returned from our umpteenth stay in 61 years at the Longueville Manor. As always, everything was outstanding; from the accommodation to the food, the service and the staff - especially the staff. We were in the very luxurious and stylish Longueville suite, with its vast bedroom and sitting room, along with a huge bathroom. It is easily the best bedroom in the hotel - and we've tried most of them. Everywhere in the hotel it is clear that huge attention has been paid to detail, with everything, from linen and towels to table mats, china, cutlery and glassware all of the best quality. The staff remember guests names, and it is rare that they ask you for your room number. The whole place runs like a well-oiled machine and we can't wait to go back.

Normally I write my reviews after my stay at a hotel. On this occasion I have written this during my stay. Longueville Manor is a hotel I would definitely return to. The location is a little out of town, which is no big deal but it means a decent walk or taxis everywhere you go. We have done both. If you’re a golfer the driving range just down the road is a must, with all the tech you could ever need. The attentiveness of the staff is what I find most impressive, as is the food quality, which is as good as any I’ve had in any restaurant in the world. I once had the fortune to stay at the Burj Al Arab in Dubai, the service and food is equally as good at Longueville manor, in fact probably better. The only negative I can report, if you’re physically active is the gym, it’s housed in a very small room so is only really useable by a maximum of 2 people at a time, the bike has definitely seen better days and the cross trainer cannot really be used if you’re 6ft or below as your head will bump into the ceiling, as mine does occasionally so H&S needs some consideration. So if you’re a gym junkie find other local options, although the weights are perfectly useable. The hot tub is a nice touch, a little chilly when getting out but the relaxation area near the treatment room is a tranquil & peaceful space to relax. The beach is about a 10-15 minute walk with St Helier about 25-30. After dinner cocktails and drinks + bar are of a very high standard, sometimes a bit of a long wait to get served but worth the wait. That said the whole point of being at a hotel such as this is not to rush, it’s a high quality & well maintained resort and hotel, perfect for a short holiday or a place to take a few days to yourself. As a diner the dinner in the restaurant is of an incredibly high standard, and the choice of wine is out of this world, and if you’re not sure what to choose the sommelier knows exactly what to recommend. Overall 9.5/10, highly recommended

Beautiful building & grounds, our room was huge, the bathroom was luxurious with lovely toiletries. There was even a game of scrabble in the room in case we were bored. The pool was spotless with towels, very comfortable sun beds and staff to bring you whatever you needed. We had a great time and it seemed that every member of staff wanted us to enjoy every minute.
