The Cobo Bay Hotel garners acclaim for its comfortable, pristine rooms with breathtaking ocean views, though a few guests have noted occasional noise disturbances. Nestled near the scenic Coco beach, its prime location is a highlight among visitors.
The hotel's attentive service and array of amenities, including diverse dining options, are often praised for enhancing stays and providing good value, despite some mentions of additional costs. However, one review did point out a lack of atmosphere during a noisy staff event.

Detailed Reviews
We stayed in a Sea facing balcony room for one night staycation offer in November which included breakfast.
The room was cleaned to a high standard and good facilities in the room. There is a stunning balcony view over Cobo bay and sound of the sea is very relaxing even in the winter! The balcony had seating on it which would be perfect in the summer.
Breakfast had a good variety of options and the cooked breakfast was tasty.
We didn’t use the restaurant for our evening meal as there were events on (we were made aware of this when booking) but would like to go back again to try. There are other good restaurant options close by if needed.

We had a lovely stay here, much enhanced by the lovely staff; they are without exception cheerful, efficient, friendly and welcoming. Sadly we booked too late to get a room with balcony or sea-view, but we still had a very comfortable room with spacious bathroom, lovely soft towels, large comfortable bed, robes, safe, TV and tea/coffee making. The provided pillar fan was very welcome during such a hot spell. Still and sparkling water were regularly refreshed. The cleaning staff did a great job, leaving things where we'd put them rather than trying to leave things to a specified layout.
The beach here is beautiful, the sunset views memorable. There is a huge and varied menu and a large screened restaurant terrace overlooking the sea. Breakfast is very good; a varied continental buffet, plus a cooked menu. They accommodated all and any combinations of cooked items, which were well cooked and very quickly served.
Plenty of secure parking behind the hotel, and a couple of electric charging points.
We had a really nice time here, thoroughly recommended, and would stay again.

We agree with all the positive comments about the location, restaurant and staff. Our room was a ‘standard, without sea view’ (210) - quite small but well fitted out, particularly the shower room. It looked out onto an internal yard, which didn’t bother us much as we hadn’t expected a view and it probably reduced any noise from the road. The downside was that the room was very hot, even when the air outside the window cooled down in the evening. In fact this whole section of the hotel seemed warmer than the rest - it was noticeable as soon as we entered the corridor. Perhaps roof insulation or corridor ventilation would help. This wasn’t enough to make us regret our choice of hotel but I’m mentioning it for future traveller’s, and the owner’s, awareness.

Have stayed here several times due to beachfront location and being near family. Staff continue to be helpful and friendly with very good housekeeping. However, we found our rooms to be cramped, airless and poorly insulated ( could hear every time the guest upstairs moved in the night). Noisy pipes and outdoor fan too. We paid a special spring rate which made it reasonable and probably influenced rooms we were allocated but would have been reluctant to pay the full price.

We had a lovely, relaxing holiday at the Cobo Bay Hotel, the sea views from our balcony were wonderful. Fortunately our stay coincided with a full moon and the autumn equinox so the high tides were very high with waves breaking over the sea wall. Great to watch as a visitor but probably less exciting for those who needed to drive along the road regularly.
Our twin room was very comfortable with a walk in shower as per my request. The weather was warm so our thick duvets made us too hot, having spoken to Reception the housekeeping team quickly changed them for lighter versions which we appreciated.
Indeed the entire staff team at the Cobo Bay were so helpful and friendly, vegan milk was provided at breakfast along with fresh fruit, pastries, juices and a wide choice of tasty cooked dishes. Our room was cleaned daily and supplies of milk, tea and water replenished each time.
If you are considering a holiday on the West coast of Guernsey the Cobo Bay Hotel is simply the best place to stay 😊.

Book a room with balcony.
We stayed for two nights, booked direct with hotel. Travelled ferry and had our car.
Stunning beach which is across the road, we had no trouble crossing the road. .
Arrival polite and straightforward. Parking at rear of hotel which is accessed by a different road which brings you to the rear of hotel so no issues.
Staff polite and helpful.
Room was a little dated but generally clean and comfortable. The balcony was disappointing (see photos). Bed very comfy we slept well.
Breakfast was very good plenty of choice and the hot breakfast cooked to order so fresh and hot.
Dinner was extremely good, you might think a bit pricey but it was real food not pre cooked and heated in a microwave.
As everyone else has commented the sunsets are stunning we walked along the beach as the sun was setting ❤️,
We had our car and explored many of the beaches , we also visited the little chapel def worth finding.
We will be back to explore the museums and history of the island.
Would recommend this hotel without hesitation.

The staff were immaculately turned out , polite and helpful.
Room 108, unfortunately, has the view of extractor fans and air conditioning units outside the windows. Also, above the kitchen so, as well as constant noise from these units , there are the cooking smells. We could have changed rooms but the room we were offered had the noise of the air conditioning unit operating in next room but the shower was small.
The hotel food was exceptional and used by many locals.
Lovely outside seating. Unfortunately the nearness of the main road made it a bit noisy on times.
Situated across the road from a lovely beach, a perfect hotel to stay in as long as you don't mind the steep steps from the road down to the beach.

We wanted to experience a different location for our evening meal whilst on vacation on Guernsey and we chose the Cobo Bay Hotel which has an excellent coast side restaurant. We were given an excellent window table and the service was first rate. The pre dinner drinks quickly arrived and was followed by a very pleasant Sauvignon Blanc. We ordered duck spring rolls, chicken schnitzel which my wife said was the best she had ever had and a spicy prawn dish from somewhere in the Far East. Service charge was added without asking but the meal for two still came in just a shade under £100.

So glad we were able to stay for our short trip to Guernsey. Perfect location and you don't need a car - a general store and a grocery are a very short walk nearby. We booked two rooms which could have used a little TLC and even with a fan, I imagine would get very warm during the summer. The breakfast was amazing - highly recommend. Staff at the front desk were also very helpful in answering our questions about the bus as well as getting towels for the beach. Recommend booking ahead for their dinner as well to get a good spot for sunset.

Fabulous location, great service and lovely staff at this seafront hotel.
The hotel is perfectly located on the seafront of cobo bay. The hotel is well appointed, if you have the option go for a sea view room with a balcony as they sunsets in cobo are fabulous.
The staff are friendly and attentive without being over the top. The restaurant and terrace serve good food with a great selection for all.
Breakfast is delicious and includes a continental and hot choice cooked to order. Lots of food options including gluten free which isn't a faff.
