Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Run down hotel, freezing cold pool that is not heated about 19°, sauna and steam room not working. Booked a 2 night stay and left after the first night - never done that before. The only reason they have 2 stars is because Lastminute.con managed to get a refund to us for the second night. Reception was useless. I read the reviews and they honestly dont reflect how awful the hotel is. Locals know it as the worst on the island.

The staff was very nice, but if you are looking for a hot shower. It will be in vain. We complained three times, but still only luke-warm water. The food at the restaurant was good and breakfast had awesome croissants, the coffee was not good.

The hotel is fantastic. The hotel itself is so clean. All the staff are very kind, helpful, friendly and would certainly go out of the way to help you. The restaurant serves amazing food and again if you ask nothing is too much trouble.

Stayed here for a week and were not disappointed. The hotel could do with a little TLC but was ok for our needs. The room was fine and cleaned daily with fresh towels provided. The staff were good, on reception, in the dining area and the housekeepers, all very pleasant. The food in the restaurant, Sahara City, was excellent, we had 2 evening meals there and were delighted with them. The breakfasts were also sufficient with a choice of freshly cooked meals and a continental style buffet. The hotel is handy for travelling into St Peters Port and for the airport, be warned the airport is close by and there is some aircraft noise on take off and landing, but this didn't really bother us. For us the pool area was the star, it's a lovely indoor pool with seating and loungers and a well equipped gym. We had booked the hotel just a couple of weeks before travelling and would possibly stay there again should we return to this beautiful island.

Traditional hotel and rooms, my room was large compared to modern hotel standards, the hotel also has a large indoor swimming pool. Good restaurant on site to called Sahara, staff all friendly and good value for money. Very close to airport and st peter port is only 10 minutes away by drive.

So glad we booked here and managed to get 2 rooms for 2 nights at very short notice. Daniel and all staff couldn’t have done more to accommodate us and our children were delighted that there was an indoor swimming pool for them to use. Food was excellent, rooms were very comfortable. Handy to have bus stops very close by albeit we didn’t use them. Typical Guernsey, friendly people all around. Highly recommend to anyone and if we come over again (which we probably will at some point, we are very likely to book up again) 🇬🇬

Just went for Sunday lunch. 6 of us. Never had such terrible food in Guernsey. The vegetables were frozen. My pork was at least 60% fat and no one enjoyed it. Quite frankly should have realised since no one was there. Just had to say to help other unsuspecting people. Oh, i did complain, but the staff barely spoke any English.

Loved this hotel during our stay in guernsey. Felt comfortable and like a home from home. Breakfast cooked to order and plentiful. Excellent steaks. We enjoyed our stay and was sad to leave. Staff helpful and friendly. Indoor pool was refreshing and had a pleasant swim during out stay.

We live locally but called in to use the pool and eat and the staff could not have been more accommodating. The pool was lovely and warm and we had lots of space, we stayed for a meal for the dine and dip the swim is free with food - and the food was smashing lots of choice fresh good food, and we saw a fairy door 🚪 on the way back to the car 🚗 we hope to return.
