The hotel location is towards the edge of St Peter Port, close enough to walk to shops, restaurants and the ferries in 10-15 minutes. I stayed in room one. The room decor is nice and has a good size with a coffee table, two arm chairs and a desk. The room has views of the sea and nearby islands, and sunrises are spectacular. The only downside to this room is closeness to a busy main road can make it noisy during daytime - it's less of a problem at night as traffic is substantially reduced. This room is also above one of the bars so there is little music and chatter that comes through in the evening, though I did not find this to be intrusive. Breakfast included a good choice of cereals, fruit and cooked food. There is also an attached bar and a bistro/bar for food and drink. Without exception the staff were friendly and helpful. I would be happy to stay here again.

Lovely place with a real calm peaceful feel to it. Staff who were attentive and helpful at all times. I had room 2 and had a clear view of the sea. Very reasonably priced and couldn't fault my stay. 8-10 minute walk to town centre.

We stayed five nights and had a lovely, relaxing time. About an 8-10 minute walk into the main part of town, but not a problem as it was all along the harbour front. Great breakfasts but I wished they served espresso! The staff were friendly and helpful. Georgio in the bar was great, and so were the locals. Our room was clean and comfortable in the new wing with a restricted sea view. On the first night we had a very good dinner of plaice and a delicious sticky toffee pudding. Would definitely stay again.

This place is a gem. The rooms are a nice size and well apportioned. The beds are very comfortable. I stayed two different times and received two different rooms. Both were very nice. My first stay the view out the main windows was of Herm and Jethou with Sark on the horizon. Second room was very spacious but view out the other side and not so great. The breakfasts are great. Especially the omelettes. Grab a couple of croissants with an omelette for a break from the Full English (if necessary). Opting for the Full English is still great. Although not a buffet, there were enough side items at breakfast that you could have eaten enough to avoid ordering a set breakfast. La Piette may just have the best coffee I have experienced in Great Britain. Nice bar - and garden - for a beer in the afternoon. It is on the main road, so some of the rooms will open onto the road. But I did not find it bothersome. For me the only drawback was dragging my travel possessions up several flights of stairs. But it was worth it.

Stayed here for my friends birthday with 13 others for the weekend. Rooms were large and clean. Tea/ coffee making facilities in room were excellent with large variety. Ironing board and hairdryer in room. Shower was powerful and wide was great. The hotel staff were lovely and friendly. Breakfast was good with plenty to choose from. Really enjoyed my whole stay here.

Had a long weekend at La Piette. The location has it's drawbacks being on the main road on the sea front, but it is slightly "out of town" so the traffic noise at night is only a small problem. But it's location can also be considered to be an asset as it's just a quick 10 minute walk into St Peter Port. And the views are great if you have a se view room. Perhaps Air Conditioned Rooms might allow for doors / windows to be shut at night when the weather is warm? Otherwise, the Rooms are very well appointed and fitted out. Food was good throughout our stay and the staff were all excellent, with a high level of service being standard. All in all, it's very good value for rmoney, and will definitely come again.

We have just spent ten nights here and can't praise this hotel enough. Our room was on the ground floor just next to the outside bar area. The noise was not a problem though and neither did we have any problem with any cigarette smoke entering the room. We ate outside most evenings and the food was fantastic with a great choice at a good price. The rooms were well maintained and the hotel staff were very friendly. The location was fine for us with a 10 - 15 minute walk to town one way and a 5 minute walk to Co-Op Locale and 10 minute walk to Waitrose the other way. The views to Herm and Sark are superb as are the views of the cruise ships when they're in. Wi-Fi was free and had excellent coverage. Parking wasn't a problem for us but there are limited spaces so you may need to park elsewhere at peak periods However, most car parking is free but time-limited on Guernsey. All in all a great holdiay was enhanced by our stay at La Piette and we would definitely go again if we return to Guernsey.

I stayed at La Piette on a return visit to Guernsey. I wanted something close to the centre of St Peters Port within my budget and this seemed to be the best choice. Quick check-in and was allocated room 1 above the bar at the front of the hotel. Really spacious room with a big comfy bed with decent bedding, wardrobe, TV and tea and coffee making facilities. Great views over towards the harbour and the water which is just over the road from the hotel front entrance. Couple of nice comfy chairs too so you can sit and watch the island life go by. Bathroom is compact but a decent shower and complimentary toiletries. All spotlessly clean and well looked after by the housekeeping team. Breakfast was taken each morning in the adjoining bistro restaurant. A decent small buffest of cereals, juices, yoghurt and fruit with table service of cooked food (there’s a menu you order from) and hot drinks. The staff were great, and the cooked breakfast was so tasty. Once of the best I have had in a long time anywhere. Great quality and again really clean. You can eat evening meals here too; however, I went out both evenings into town. There is a small bar in the hotel, which was great for a quick drink, benches out the front too if you wanted to sit in the sun, however too close to the road for me, instead use the bistro bar and garden at the rear which is lovely. The only draw-back of this hotel for me was the room I was allocated. St the front on the road so you have traffic noise the entire time. I would definitely return; however, I would ask for a room at the back of the hotel or on the road. I may lose the great views but would prefer a quieter room.

Great room overlooking the garden which can be noisy on Friday evening as it’s popular with locals also, however a minor issue. Food very good in the evenings and breakfast was excellent with lots of fresh fruit or a full English. The best thing though are the staff who are lovely and very helpful. I think they have mostly come over from Latvia so communication can get lost in translation but this just adds to the extra charm of La Piette! Check out the local authentic french Bistro up the road and the Italian next door. Cock and Bull was my best pub, as beer was well kept. If you like hotel routines rather than self catering this is for you!
