Detailed Reviews
The hotel location is towards the edge of St Peter Port, close enough to walk to shops, restaurants and the ferries in 10-15 minutes. I stayed in room one. The room decor is nice and has a good size with a coffee table, two arm chairs and a desk. The room has views of the sea and nearby islands, and sunrises are spectacular. The only downside to this room is closeness to a busy main road can make it noisy during daytime - it's less of a problem at night as traffic is substantially reduced. This room is also above one of the bars so there is little music and chatter that comes through in the evening, though I did not find this to be intrusive. Breakfast included a good choice of cereals, fruit and cooked food. There is also an attached bar and a bistro/bar for food and drink. Without exception the staff were friendly and helpful. I would be happy to stay here again.

Hotel restaurant a little away from the hustle and bustle of St Peter Port. It was next to our own hotel (St Georges Guest House) and in fact became our every evening restaurant after a long day of walking on the islands. Went there for lunch before taking the ferry back. In total, 5 meals taken at the Piette Hotel and 5 times we were delighted by the quality of the dishes (and the perfect quantity) and the service. The team that welcomes you is charming. On the plate: for the same price or less than the restaurants in the port, you will have very refined cuisine, full of flavors and subtleties, nicely presented on the plate. For all tastes: vegetarians, meat lovers (super T-bone, wonderful shoulder of lamb with herbs), Italian cuisine with very good pasta. The tomato soup was delicious. We did not try the pizzas. The desserts are also very good and homemade of course. Special mention for the red fruit crumble.
The restaurant also has a magnificent terrace hidden from view. We had our "assigned" table, in a pretty, very bright bow window.
We came each time with our 5 month old baby. The staff was very attentive and accommodating to change her comfortably in a separate room. I fed him every time. The staff delayed the arrival of my dishes or made them reheat for me.
Just perfect.
Highly recommended.

From start to finish, the team here went out of their way to help us, especially on the final day when I made some big mistakes which would have made me miss my flight home to London.
The cooked breakfast is big and tasty, an element that so many places fail to get right. Lobster salad one evening was a joy and a treat. A real pride in the food.
Room service every day and the toiletries are tip-top.
We had room 25 overlooking the garden, which has a vibrant atmosphere when the sun is out and I'd suggest sleeping with the curtains open so you get the sunrise bouncing off the islands of Herm and Sark, with the shimmering sea in the foreground.
This has been a challenging work contract for me (since February this year) and finishing at the beginning of July. I wanted to see Guernsey one last time and in spite of the inclement weather, I left the island on a high.
Thank you to all at La Piette. I hope to return.

I don't usually write reviews, but......just returned from a week here, it was almost perfect, lovely hotel, brilliant position - easy walk into town, or there is a bus stop if you prefer. a lovely 'local' friendly pub almost next door, and a craft beer tap room seconds away. the staff are all lovely (particularly the blonde lady who works behind the bar - really sorry I forgot her name), the gentleman who works the bar with her could learn a lot from her about customer service! the owner was really excellent, nothing too much trouble. spectacular breakfasts, and we weren't charged 'extra' for items on checkout like some hotels tend to annoyingly do. the views from the room are spectacular, the room had all you need, and VERY comfortable.
all in all I HEARTILY recommend La Piette, thank you all for a lovely stay - would come back 100%

Despite the staff shortages in the hospitality industry, the staff here are extremely helpful and any problems were sorted out very quickly.
The food is pub fare and it would be good to see a change in the range from day to day.
A very convenient location on the flat, on many bus routes and within walking distance of the centre.
Garden bedroom very comfortable, although could do with more thorough cleaning at times

La Piette has everything a great hotel should. A beautiful building with large comfortable and quiet rooms, wonderful staff, delightful food, the right price and a perfect location.
Dick is a super nice guy. When I first stayed there in 2018 my taxi to the airport failed to show up, Dick took me there himself early in the morning and in his own car to make sure I made my flight. What service! what a guy!
I travel a lot and to all parts the globe, La Piette is one of my all time favourite hotels. I wouldn't stay anywhere else when in Guernsey.

The room we were given was large with twin beds (as requested) and a sea view. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. The staff were all pleasant and helpful.
Breakfast was fresh, plentiful and well cooked. We only ate one evening meal in the hotel but that meal was particularly good.
Guernsey itself seems somewhat dated and this was reflected in the hotel but that didn't detract rom it's charm.
We would recommend a stay here.

We stayed five nights and had a lovely, relaxing time. About an 8-10 minute walk into the main part of town, but not a problem as it was all along the harbour front.
Great breakfasts but I wished they served espresso!
The staff were friendly and helpful. Georgio in the bar was great, and so were the locals.
Our room was clean and comfortable in the new wing with a restricted sea view.
On the first night we had a very good dinner of plaice and a delicious sticky toffee pudding.
Would definitely stay again.

Lovely place with a real calm peaceful feel to it. Staff who were attentive and helpful at all times. I had room 2 and had a clear view of the sea. Very reasonably priced and couldn't fault my stay. 8-10 minute walk to town centre.

I stayed on holiday for 4 nights in Room 24 overlooking the garden. The room was very modern and up to date. Staff extremely personable and helpful. Cuisine and service were both high quality. An easy walk from here to downtown.
