This is a great little hotel. Downsides: It's very dated. Upsides: A warm welcome, both on the phone and on arrival A spotless clean room Accommodating and helpful staff regarding early breakfast and taxi booking to airport Great shower Comfy bed Very good value What's not to like?! I'll be back!!

Our room was a reasonable size and the bed was massive (two beds pushed together to make a super-king!!). Adequate hanging and drawer space, but if the (small) TV had been fixed to the wall, there would have been more room on the dressing table. Ensuite shower room was adequate, with instantaneous hot water. The wrapped soap was all that...

Don't even think about staying here unless you're physically fit - it's on a very steep hill and you can't catch a bus up to it. We stayed in room 26 at the front of the hotel, the bathroom was new and spotlessly clean. No shower gel or shampoo so take your own. Towels changed every day if you left...

We choose the marton hotel/guesthouse this for the price, area. Although on arriving we didn't realise how far uphill it was(walking with 2 suitcases). Tania a portuguese lady was very pleasant throughout our stay on the front desk & @ breakfast in the mornings.I had a few chats with her re local restaurants and general touristy things of interest, very...

We had a very clean and pretty room that looked directly onto a small orchard. The hotel is up a steep hill from the middle of town, so we walked down and took a taxi back up. It is a quiet street, not close to restaurants, but we found plenty of places to eat down the hill. Breakfast was good...

Great budget hotel, set on a quiet street up the hill from the town. We've just returned from a week's stay here. Its a bit of an uphill walk from town, particularly if you have suitcases. We found the shortest way to get there was to get off the bus from the Airport at Trinity Square and walk up to...

Tired and in need of revamping, especially the bathroom with its 70's suite! Very disappointed to find no shower gel or shampoo in the bathroom - had to make a trip into town to get some. Breakfast was ok but cold sausages were disguised by being on hot plates. The garden has so much potential - some lovely plants but...

A lovely guest house up the hill from the port has everthing you could need—a comfy room, a lovely garden with a view over the town, and friendly and accommodating staff. From the time of our reservation to the day of our departure, everyone we interacted with welcomed us to the guest house. The walk up the hill does not...

The Marton Guest House is situated in a quiet part of St Peter Port at the top of a steep street which leads up from the main shopping area and is a 10 to 15 minute hard slog on foot up to it. The street is lined with some fine properties including the House of Victor Hugo when he was...
