We were in Guernsey to visit family and celebrate my mom's 80th birthday. What a fabulous hotel La Collinette was. The location is very convenient near to town but nowhere is far on Guernsey. The rooms and hotel are spotlessly clean and so comfortable. The staff are just the best the manager Cyril was excellent and really went above and beyond as so did everyone else. We had a little incident and the hotel could not have done enough to help the reassurance was appreciated and so was Cyril's friendly banter afterwards which was much needed! The receptionists Veronika, Wendy and Grace always there to help and have a friendly chat. I chatted with Veronika before we arrived and she kindly arranged for some flowers to be put into my mom's room on arrival. The cleaners and breakfast host for our first couple of days Margarita were so lovely and I didn't get the name of our other cleaner who was always so helpful. You can definitely feel the friendly atmosphere! There was a great choice for breakfast and the dining area again was lovely. We had an evening meal and again the food was great and service excellent. We have thoroughly enjoyed our amazing stay at La Collinette and thank you so much for all your help, service and welcome. We very highly recommend this hotel. When we will certainly book again on our next visit to Guernsey. Thank you so much for everything!

We had booked 5 nights at La Collinette from 18th July. Our dates had to be rearranged several times (due to lockdowns in 2020, ferry changes due to covid) but Veronika on the desk was always so helpful and friendly in resolving things. We had a great room with a pool view, a huge comfy bed and plenty of room. As the weather was so hot the hotel had put in a much needed fan for us. The bathroom was really clean, and our room was well cleaned every day. Breakfast was served by a really lovely lady (I wish Id got her name) and the food was excellent, with a good choice. We also had two great meals in the evening at the restaurant. We enjoyed our stay, but then my husband took ill with a stomach bug. We decided to cancel our ongoing trip to Jersey and extend our stay. Cyril, the director of the hotel, on hearing my plight (I was unsuccessfully trying to change my ferry) took me to the port to the ferry offices to speak to someone in person. He also arranged for us to stay on at the hotel for an extra 5 nights, despite being fully booked. We got to try two other rooms which were just as comfortable. All the staff were lovely and couldn't do enough for us. We really enjoyed our extended stay. I would highly recommend the hotel to visitors. We will definitely recommend it to friends, and know exactly where we will stay if we return. Thank you Cyril, Veronica, and all the staff for making us feel so welcome.

We stayed in room 26 at this hotel from the 11th August to 16th August. We had an excellent stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable with an excellent balcony/terrace overlooking the rear of the property and pool. The bed was large and very comfortable with soft pillows. The water in the bathroom was always piping hot when required. There was a large flat screen TV with the normal English programmes. Tea & Coffee making facilities. There was plenty of hanging/storage space for our clothes. Breakfast was excellent with a decent choice of cereals/ fruits and the usual Full English as well as Kippers, Eggs on Toast etc. We dined in most evenings and again the food was very well prepaired and presented. For sports lovers there is at least 3 TV screens in the bar area so no need to miss out. The pool was well maintained and heated to around 22 Celcius.
Within the grounds of the Hotel is a WW2 German Communications Bunker. This is a must visit if you are interested in WW2 as its been pretty much restored to how it looked during the war.
All in all we thoroughly enjoyed are 5 days at La Collinette.

The hotel is around 20 minutes walk from the centre of st peter port, at the top of a very steep hill, which may not suit some visitors.
Its an old hotel with loads of character the staff are friendly and informative.
It has a museum in the grounds which was interesting and well worth the £4.00 fee.
The breakfast is excellent good choice of cereals and fruit etc the full english breakfast was really good. There were no lunches available as reception said they were very short staffed.
We had one evening meal, I had chicken burger and chips the chicken breasts were overcooked and tough but my partners fish & chip meal was good.
The dining room is comfortable the down side is the dead flies in the glass light shades!
We had a view over the pool, the room was clean and cleaned every day, the downside was it had twins beds and a bunk bed which made it feel very cramped!
Modern bathroom with toiletries and fluffy big towels. Kettle -Tea,Coffee & biscuits supplied every day.
Steep stairs and no lift were a problem for us.
We were on a special trip so had asked for a quiet room but it was fairly noisy and an alarm went off in someones room at 5am every day! (thin walls)
The roller blinds were shabby & didn't fit with a large gap in between them, verticals or venetians would give more privacy.
We understand from staff that its the end of season and things have been overlooked
so with some tweaking it could be better.
Please note- Make sure you book taxis well in advance of your arrival and get confirmation as there is a shortage on the island!

I love this hotel. It is fantastic value for money. The hotel is in a swish area and looks and feels very elegant. I love the feel of it. The lovely Frenchman (I think!) added to the sophistication on tge front door when I entered. Clean, very pleasant rooms. Lovely hot shower. I had the best fish in chips ever in the restaurant. I hate mushy peas but these changed all that. They were very pleasant indeed, and the fish was so fresh in great fresh batter. This Hotel has a great feel about it with lovely staff.

Visited Guernsey twice before on daytrips from Poole and decided there was much more to see of this lovely island, so scoured the web for a reasonably priced hotel with breakfast and a heated outdoor swimming pool for a long weekend 3 night stay near the centre of St Peter Port.
We were not disappointed, our room overlooking the pool was clean and well equipped, enormous bed so comfy, breakfast yummy, reception staff helpful and friendly, bar staff entertaining.
Decided to go again and for longer, booked 1st week September this time, although you can get anywhere on the island for £1 by bus, given free parking on the forecourt at La Collinette we're taking our little car to travel around in.

Working in Guernsey for a couple of days. Stayed here. All staff from front desk, chamber maids, bar staff, and very friendly owner/boss superb. I rarely bother to leave a revue of hotels as I stay in so many. This was an exceptional experience. Having no car I needed several taxis, the reception staff offered and sorted every time. Flybe went down while I was there and helpful advice. Being a total genius I managed to leave my car/house keys in my room. I had major issues getting home because of Flybe's demise and had not noticed. Hotel manager personally delivered them to me at Guernsey airport within 15 minutes of them having been found. What a nice chap and what service. I will visit again.

Hello Alastair, We are very pleased to read that you arrived home safely. Delivering your keys to the airport is what we regard as all part of the service. La Collinette Hotel is a small privately owned business in a very difficult market without the resources of a big rich company to support us. As a result, our hotel philosophy has always been to provide high quality service and hospitality and to do our very best. It’s extremely pleasing therefore to read your comments. Thank you very much and we hope to see you again soon. “The Warmest of Welcomes Awaits You!

I want to say a massive thank you to the wonderful staff at La Collinette Hotel. Having booked for a 2 night stay testing positive for covid the day I was due to leave wasn’t great, but the staff were amazing looking after me during my isolation.
Fortunately I wasn’t too unwell, but nothing was too much trouble delivering 3 meals to my door each day and regularly checking if I needed anything else.
When I was negative, 9 days later and free to circulate again it was lovely to be greeted so warmly by all the staff.
I look forward to returning again for another visit but in the meantime a heartfelt thank you to everyone there.

Hello and thank you for your review. It must have been very upsetting for you to test positive while you were staying at the hotel. Looking after guests is what we like to do, so I’m very proud of the staff when I read how pleased you were with the service and hospitality provided. We might not be 5 star, but I like to think that as a small hotel, we provide a 5 star service. After all the big commercial hotels can’t always provide such a personal service and that’s where I hope we have the “edge”. Please tell your business colleagues and friends about Guernsey and “The Colly”. We regard personal recommendations as the most important form of marketing the hotel and self catering. We hope to see you again soon, as ever- “The Warmest of Welcomes Awaits You!”

Ideally situated hotel ten minutes walk from St PeterPort. Friendly staff and good cooked breakfast.
Stayed in large room with kingsize bed and large ensuite bathroom with window over looking swimming pool. Enjoyed evening meal cheeseburger salad and fries although tasty food burger was quite large so struggled. No complaints there just full up. Good sevice
Fairly easy to navigate to hotel driving hire car from airport stayed for three nights and enjoyed it thoroughly soon became accustomed to roads. After a couple of days exploring the island soon sussed out most of the one way roads.
Visited Herm unspoilt island 20 minute ferry trip a must when in Guernsey.
Would definitely stay again just takes some time to adjust to the slow pace of Guernsey.

We have just come back from a wonderful holiday at La Collinette. The hotel, rooms, bar area and restaurant were all lovely. The food was delicious and the staff were very accommodating, especially as my 89 year old mum and auntie have very small appetites. Cyril spoilt them both and really made their holiday.
Would definitely recommend.

Hello Anthea,
Thank you for your enquiry.
I’m very pleased to say we have WiFi throughout the hotel and even in most parts of the garden!
With thanks and best wishes,
La Collinette Hotel
I always take the car I'm afraid! its only ten mins away but don't think it's on a public transport route. Taxi may be an option but best to phone the hotel and ask (they used to do a hire car deal I think?)
Very sorry for the delay in replying to your question. For some reason I didn't see it flagged at the top of the page until today.
The bar isn't noisy. If you recheck the reviews you will see that one states it's not noisey and the other states the lady had "a lovely quiet stay".
The bar is frequented by "locals" who are friendly. We also have tvs which show sports. At times this may raise levels a little but not unduly!
We never make reservations for rooms based on the company making the booking, purely on availability.
Please forgive the tardiness of this response which I hope will provide you with the answer you need.
Andrew Chambers, La Collinette Hotel.
