Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Clean. Smart. Quality fixtures and fittings. Very comfortable bed in good size room. excellent bathroom and shower. Beautiful gardens. Friendly manager and staff- nothing was too much trouble. The menu was thoughtful and food excellent. Breakfast menu was particularly extensive Should be more than a three star. small suggestion - some seats outside main door for those waiting for courtesy bus

I’m lying in bed trying to get to sleep but the road noise makes it impossible. It is a very busy road. Also people are chatting loudly outside which does not help. The hotel is lovely and good value, the spa is fab nice and clean. Staff are welcoming. Breakfast very good. Walk into town is crazy as pavement is none existent in places and is very dark. You do need a torch. There is nothing they can do re the road but they should encourage people to sit inside after ten at night, to keep volume low. We won’t return it’s just too noisy.

We were allocated a standard double room. The window was just above a major extractor assembly serving the kitchen. We are light sleepers and couldn’t tolerate the fan noise. On asking to change the room the initial response from reception was, “We are fully booked”, and then, “The extractor is turned off at 10pm” . Not helpful. Eventually, the manager found another room - still close to a different extractor, but a quieter one. We were not offered help to move our cases to the new room, despite several stairs. One of the electricians working in a corridor assisted us when he saw us struggling. We dined as a group in the private area. The service was very slow. Every day (we stayed for 3 nights) we had to ask for menus, drinks etc at breakfast and dinner because they weren’t proffered. We shall not be staying at Les Rocquettes again. It is too far from St Peter Port to walk in along the very busy and hilly road (but there is a bus). However, for those who are more tolerant of noise from machinery and traffic, we should admit that the newer rooms with balconies look nice and the pool is a good size.

Lovely hotel with great food and facilities including pool but let down by bedroom which needed updating. The twin divans had very worn and shabby bases and there were folded over toppers to conceal poor quality mattresses. I felt like I was continually sliding off it so sleep was poor.

Amazing hotel. Set slightly outside the town. We stayed as part of a coach party. There is a regular bus service passing the gate into town. The rooms are amazingly well appointed and the food at dinner is very good though little in the way of "choice" for vegetarians. Breakfast very good with buffet and hot cooked food to order. All equipment is of a very high specification. There is a lift. There are two bars. entertainment is provided in the evening on some days

The room overlooked the carpark and next to a busy main road. Also music from the Oak bar was annoying. Rather disappointed, wouldn't recommend. Walk in shower was excellent. Rooms need modernising. Staff were rushed off their feet, so not good service.

We stayed here for 5 nights. This is a brilliantly run and very high standard hotel which satisfied all of our expectations in Guernsey. All of the staff did their best to make our stay a success. We felt it was good value for money. On a bus route for easy transport to and from the seafront and town centre.

Recent mini break - beautiful gardens, spacious room with everything accommodated for. Decor throughout hotel superb. All staff very friendly & helpful. Lovely swimming pool & jacuzzi. Local bus service excellent if needed, but walkable from quay ( hill on the way up though ) would thoroughly recommend

Room Tip: Would suggest getting taxi or bus from quay to hotel - hill quite steep. Approx 30 min uphill...

Surprisingly good for 3 * should be 4*. Easy parking, good pool & gym, large garden at back -don't miss it. Great choice at breakfast. book for dinner if you want restaurant other wise you will have to eat in bar area which is a bit "harvester". Cosmopolitan staff friendly & attentive. long walk to town down hill. Public areas have had full face lift, nice decor.

Dined here today. Since re-opening, the bistro seems to have decided to preclude gluten free diners. ‘Gluten free’ is not even mentioned on the menu. Upon asking what my main course options were I was told I could have either a sandwich or fillet steak. Neither of which were something I wanted. To make virtually your entire menu exclusive to those with no dietary restrictions, in this day and age, is a very backward step in my view. Will go elsewhere from now on.
