We really enjoyed our stay, from the moment we arrived we were greeted with a friendly polite receptionist. The room was lovely and big and the bed extremely comfortable. Tea/coffees/ water replenished everyday. A fridge in the room also a bonus. It was quiet and slept well. We used the spa, very clean and relaxing. Breakfast was delicious and set us up for the day. All staff we met were lovely, great customer service. Good lication 5-10 min walk into town. The only downside is its on a hill so we did get taxis back a couple of nights, but walked up in the day just beware if your not very mobile or fit! Can't fault this hotel. Would recommend.

This was my third stay here, the last in 2019. My wife and I stayed for five nights. A few emailed queries or requests I sent before our arrival were all answered promptly. The hotel is very well situated, a short walk to the town centre and sea front and near to the tidal bathing pools, hewn from the rock. A refreshing plunge highly recommended. Note that the walk back to the hotel from the sea is up a very steep (but short) incline, so not something to be tackled by the infirm or frail (or on a bicycle !). Check in was friendly and efficient. The hotel had very kindly taken delivery of two small parcels for us, greatly appreciated, and they had been placed in our room in anticipation of our arrival. We were happy with the room - clean and a reasonable size. I noticed that the bathroom had recently been refurbished, to a very high standard. Breakfast was very good, served in the upstairs restaurant. I thought the buffet offering (essentially fruit, cereals and breads) could be improved by offering a wider selection. The off the menu offerings were excellent; really enjoyed the full English vegetarian breakfast. Service was friendly and attentive. It says a lot that some of the staff at the hotel were the same as for my previous stays. The downstairs restaurant serves lunch and dinner. We ate dinner there a few times. It was excellent. Great ambience, service and creative and varied food choices. Waitress "Pichu" (apologies if misspelled) was a standout with consistently good and friendly service for the duration of our stay. On our departure reception kindly organised a taxi to take us back to the harbour to catch the ferry. It is a walkable distance, about 20 to 25 minutes, but with luggage better to book a taxi. We really enjoyed our stay. It's the kind of hotel where everything is probably going to be to your liking, but if it isn't you can be confident that management will immediately take steps to rectify matters. We hired the Drawing Room for a day long meeting and could not fault our choice. The venue was just the right size, laid out well with the refreshments ordered arriving on time, hot and of v good quality. The sandwich Lunch exceeded our expectations. Two of our team stayed overnight and were very pleased with the accommodation. Overall a very good experience and we will definitely use this facility again

I treated my partner to a staycation at Hotel De Havelet for his birthday. I had emailed the hotel in advance to see if their rates etc and proceeded to book a double room. On arrival, we had been upgraded to a superior king room (which was absolutely stunning and comfortable), and received 2 bottles of Prosecco and a card for my partners birthday. We had full access off the health suite during our stay, which was really relaxing. In the evening we had dinner at Copenhagen. There was loads to chose from and it was so tasty! We were told that a £50 credit was put towards our dinner too! In the morning, breakfast was included in the price of the staycation, and had cooked and continental options to chose from. Overall we had the most perfect stay at the hotel, the staff were so kind and made the stay very personalised for us. We will definitely be staying again! Went for an overnight staycation as a little treat. The entire stay was so relaxing. Nice swim in the pool followed by jacuzzi time. Evening meal was delicious. Great staff and very welcoming. We have been before and will definately be back.

We returned to the Havelet again after two years and were pleased to see the management were still there and maintaining their high standards. Our suite was again pure perfection, comfortable, light, airy and luxurious. Before breakfast there is the opportunity to swim in the indoor pool, and make use of the jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. The pool area is unattended and if going on your own, it is at your own risk. The hotel is up a steep road, and a small car is advised if staying there, although the hotel does run a complimentary minibus service into St Peter Port.` The breakfasts again were great with a fabulous choice of cereals, fruit, cold meats, fresh rolls, fresh croissants and fresh Danish parties, and all this after a cooked breakfast with items of your choice. Absolute perfection. What makes the Havelet so great is their staff, the location and gardens and the clean and well maintained rooms; the icing on the cake is their great breakfasts. The staff were without exception displaying excellent customer care and were helpful (unlike the Jersey hotel we stayed at last year). Thank you so much for making our stays so relaxing and enjoyable and please see our photos. We have now been to the Havelet seven times, and we return because the whole experience is a pleasure; Gennaro ensures that the hotel maintains their very high standards, and so it can be no surprise that we will be returning there "same time next year".…

Spacious room and great pool spa facilities. Friendly staff. Good choices at breakfast overlookng the harbour. We were disappointed with the evening meal menu choices and those that we did have were singularly bland. We only ate in the evening once here though it did appear busy each evening. Though not a problem for us the access road to the hotel is steep.

Excellent hotel, superb breakfast, very friendly and helpful staff. The only criticism we had was the menu in the Copenhagen restaurant was rather restricted when we were eating there every evening. We thought that the specials could have been changed more frequently.

The building is imposing, the bedroom was spacious and the bed was large and comfortable. The food was well cooked and the service was excellent. I was there for 5 nights and found the menu varied and appetising. Having praised the structure of the accommodation, the key factor for me was the professionalism, helpfulness and friendliness of the well trained staff. Nothing was too much trouble for them whether in the hotel itself or in the restaurant. This is a very well run establishment and I wouldn't hesitate to return. The morning free courtesy transport down the hill to the bus station was welcome as I was on a walking holiday. A similar mid afternoon return arrangement back up the hill I suppose would have been the icing on the cake!

Very comfortable hotel well located in a quiet area but close to St Peter Port's charming centre and harbour front. Good restaurant serving very good food . Excellent and attentive service all round. There is a short steep walk up from town but well worth it for the location and the hotel offers a shuttle service.
