We've just arrived home from 6 days in La Chouette. It was a lovely cottage, very comfortable with everything we needed and in a good location. The reason I haven't rated it 5 stars as everybody else has is the towels and linens appeared to be cheap and past their use-by date. The towels particularly were tiny and so well used they had become very thin and scratchy. The bed quilts weren't particularly comfortable especially as the weather was hot. Considering the price we paid we expected better quality soft furnishings,
We have just come back from a wonderful week staying at The Cliff Top Cottages. There are a number of cottage ti stay in but as we were a fairly large family group of 7 we stayed in Le Faucon farm house with little annex room attached. It was lovely. The rooms are a fantastic size, the farm house had 2 bedrooms which are both enormous! One is a double and the other has 3 single beds in which our 3 children slept in. Both rooms have their own bathroom and were spotless. The facilities were outstanding both in and out of the cottage. We had taken a few things to keep the children entertained along with some sport items for us all to enjoy while there but we needn't have worried as there was lots already there when we arrived. The owners are lovely and very friendly. The annex that my parents stayed in was great and suited their needs and we all had meals together in the farm house. Just perfect. Its not too far from the west coast and very tranquil. The grounds are just lovely and there's plenty of space everywhere. There's all the general kitchen equipment in the cottages including a dishwasher in the one we stayed in, tv, DVD, games, stereo, hairdryers. Bedding and towels are all provided and there's 2 washing machines and a dryer along with lots of washing lines if you did want or need to wash while you're there. If you're thinking of holidaying in Guernsey I would definitely check availability in one of these amazing cottages before looking elsewhere. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay.…
As a base to explore and enjoy all the wonders of this idyllic island, these cottages are perfect. Fully kitted out, immaculate, comfortable with many amenities and lovely gardens onsite. Andrew and Sharon are also the perfect hosts. Nothing is too much trouble.
My wife and I rented Le Petit Manoir, a lovely cottage dating from the early 1800s. Very cozy; almost like our very own hobbit house. Great location, just minutes away from all the attractions on Guernsey (although, any location is minutes away, since the island is roughly 9 miles by 3 miles). Our hosts, Shaaron and Andrew, were super! We forged, I hope, a special bond with them, and we would not hesitate for a moment to rent any of their cottages on a return trip. Two thumbs up - way up!
The cottages are lovely and we'll looked after Sharon and Andy are very nice people and explained what was nearby. The cottages are home from home and had everything you would need out if a self catering cottage. The grounds are nice with a large lawn area to play football etc. the buses run regular from just outside the cottage. I will come back to guernsey and stay here again it's a great place to stay :))
