We have been holidaying on Lobb for 10 years and it ever lets us down, there is a new team this year who were excellent. Plenty of facilities even on a full site toilets, showers and dish washing areas all to a good standard, the upkeep of the site is done in a non intrusive way , which is great keeping all bins emptied and pitches serviced to a high standard whilst you hardly notice this is great service to guests.
Location wise it’s great we love cycling the tarka trail and of course the great beaches a really fab family holiday site.

Came down from Scotland and the long drive was certainly worth it. The site is spread over 3 fields with 2 toilet/shower blocks. These blocks are spotless, cleaned regularly and open 24hrs (except when cleaning is being done). The blocks also have sinks for washing dishes and I noticed in the lower block (not sure about the upper one) there were laundry facilities as well. There's also facilities for washing sand off your wetsuits/beachwear. The hot showers are free and a real bonus as you'll rarely find this on other campsites at the prices Lobb Fields charge. At a time when others are taking the piss and charging crazy prices as folk want to staycation rather than going abroad just now, Lobb Fields was a lot less than other sites I checked and most of these didn't even have showers. It's a quiet site after 11pm, if you want to party go elsewhere. The whole site is incredibly well maintained and every day we seen the staff out cutting the grass, tidying the hedges, maintaining the pitches etc.
There's also hire facilities for surf gear, boards, suits etc, the only downside was the snack shack being closed while we were there, but you're right on the edge of the village so finding food wasn't that difficult.
It's a fantastic site overall and the staff work so hard to make it that way.
It's a long drive from Scotland but I reckon it might be one we will make again,
thanks very much Lobb Fields!

Spent four nights here with my partner and three of our friends. Best holiday I have had in a very long time. Beautiful views from the campsite, large spacious pitches and plenty of toilets and showers. First night there were lots of creepy crawlies in the toilets but that’s to be expected when camping, then we didn’t see any for the rest of the week. Toilets are plenty (toilets with sanitary bins have signs on the doors as not every toilet has one), lots of showers with plenty of hot water all day. Other campers were friendly and the staff interactions were pleasant.
Lots of beautiful places to visit such as Braunton, Putsborough beach, Croyde bay, Marwood Hill Gardens and Woolacombe to name just a few. We had takeout from the local Chinese in Braunton, we ate in at Squires and got coffee from The red barn in Woolacombe and made a few stops at ‘fine foods of Braunton’ (they make the best pork and Seville orange sausage rolls!)
I personally don’t understand some of these other reviews, had no issues with staff rudeness or cleanliness of facilities. I will 100% be back again (didn’t want to leave!) and would recommend!

We stayed 1 night, the toilets and showers were closed due to C19, but the laundry and washing up sinks were open. The pitches are a reasonable size and the site it clean and tidy. There is no extra space allowed between pitches due to C19, so no extra provision made in spacing out customers. One night no facilities no extra spacing and £29. They are scaring away tourists by charging a huge price for an overnight parking space. They were the only place with a space, now I see why, they are very pricey, we usually pay between £12 and 18 an night not £29, it is extortionate and taking advantage of visitors to the area.

On arrival, was greeted with unfriendly staff, and felt very unwelcome. Bathroom and washing facilities needed up dating, and needed regular cleaning, rather than once a day especially in the pandemic. I also witnessed staff being very aggressive toward a family throughout their stay even kicking their car. I’ve been going to this camp site for many years, and I can truly say I will not be attending again. Very disappointing!!!!

We booked to stay for a few nights then extended for the rest of the week. Loved the site. Staff were friendly. Showers/toilets were warm & clean. Local food available a few days a week on site which was lovely. Great area to explore. We used the washer & dryer a few times which was a bit pricey at £4 each but because of the time of year we felt was worth it.

Myself and family have just returned home from our first visit as Lobb Fields. We had such a lovely stay, from the moment we arrived the staff were so welcoming and friendly. The facilities are kept immaculate with the staff working very hard to maintain the great standards they have. I was particularly impressed with the shower block which was spotless.

The campsite also has a great food offering from independent street food traders which operate on different nights of the week, great idea we loved the food!

The location is also great within a short walk or drive into braunton. You are also super close to Braunton beach and Croyde very close by.

Thank you so much, we cannot wait to return again next year.

Joseph

Lovely clean campsite toilets and showers were cleaned daily, the showers went from cold to boiling hot every few seconds so showering the kids was a bit challenging.

Pitch was great, downside was kids just screaming for no reason at the park (which we were very close too) while it got dark, but this did stop around 10pm & the wardens seemed to manage this.

Braunton was within walking distance but you need a car for anywhere else.

Overall we had a lovely time & would go back if we’re looking to camp in the area.

i booked 2x holidays at lobb fields in feb 2022.
we had anothr holiday cottage booked in may 2022 near by and decided to go and have a look at lobb fields camp site when we was there.
the site is very clean and well maintained but if your not a surfer there is very little to do in the area unless you are prepaired to drive for 2 hours .
unfortunly we had to cancell our holiday due to family matters.
we were told quite rudly by the staff to wright an email to lobb fields explaning the cancelation for a refund then it would be sent to the directors for a decision (dont know why) so we did this .
4weeks have passed and still no corispondance back from them.
phoned lobb fields 2 days ago and spoke to a very rude member of staff who told me very abruptly to send another email to lobb fields to be sent on to the directors.
still waiting for a reply and still no refund.

We had a great one night stay camping here whilst walking a section of the South West Coast Path.

When we arrived we had a lovely welcome from the new management team, who have just taken on the site for this season, having moved down from Scotland.

They couldn’t have been more kind and helpful. They have started a little shop (current selling fuel (gas), soft drinks and snacks), but plan to expand this soon. We needed fuel for our Trangia camping stove, so Brian (one of the managers) drove me into town, going to multiple shops until we found some. We are so grateful for that, as I’m sure he had many other things that he could have been getting on with.

We heard that the management had helped others too, lending a family a kettle when theirs broke, and when Brian went on a 2+ hour search for a particular caravan connector to help a family that forgot theirs.

We stayed on the ‘plateau’ which was a nice spot, that was not boggy at all. The site has a good communal block for washing up (with hot water), showers, loos and even a hairdryer in the ladies (a welcome luxury on the trail). Drinking water taps were throughout the site closer to each plot. We could see a good mix of car-campers, vans, campers etc.

Overall this was a great stay with a management team that couldn’t have been more generous with their time. We would certainly stay again.

Believe so - the pitches are big enough. However we were only staying 2 nights, so didn’t ourselves.
